  3. Ok all you Mazak Variaxis guys! I need to help with the Dynamic Work Offsets! Do I want to use G54.2, G68.2 or G54.4?
  4. Here is what I want! I want to create a tool library for a machine and asign a tool holder to it and when I bring that tool into my file I want the tool holder to aready be there. But I also want the flexablity to replace this tool and holder assembly with one from another machine tool library! I hope X7 comes with some big changes in this area!!!
  5. I have changed your stepover to .05 and your min toolpath radius to .020 and your arc filter/ tolerance to 1:1 and it will regen in like 45 seconds. But when you change the step over back to .010 it take a lot longer!
  6. When you save your part as an stl file make sure you are on wcs top. Also the Quality bottom and the speed will effect this.
  7. Ok. I have a MCX file created as a Seed Part. I have one piont and about twenty some piont toolpaths in my opertions manager with my tools and my holders attached to my tools. I have my machine def. and everything all set up the way I want it. Now I have this old file that I want to make the tools and the hold holders match my seed part. I import all the toolpaths into this file with the tools but the holders don't come in with them. Can I have it bring the tools and the holders that are asigned to them in some how?
  8. I do have it set and the tool library is good, but when I go to get a holder i have to pick the libray i want it doesn't have any way to lock a certian holder library to that Machine def?
  9. I am trying to change where the Mastercam mill default tool library and holder library is located. When I open Mastercam and create a toolpath and I go to get a tool it is defaulted to C:\Users\Public\Documents\shared Mcamx6\mill\Tools. I want to change this to a network drive. Is the a place where I can change it in the Machine definition? Or is it under setting config?
  10. Has anyone on here built a VF-6 Haas Machine for Vericut? If so did you get the Solid model from Haas or did you draw it your self?
  11. Yes I did change the correct post. I also change the force_index to yes$. It now post out M10 and M11 but it is before my fixture offset line so that is not going to work!!!!!
  12. I am using a Generic Fanuc 4x Machine and I want to clamp and unclamp the rotary when it change position. Is there a way to do this with out manually inserting M10 and M11?
  13. I have loaded X+ and have created a couple of tool list and set-up sheets. When I created a tool list as a .xml and I have it output a tool bitmap it does show the bitmap of the tool on the spread sheet. Is there something I need to do differant?
  14. with a file open in Mastwercam if I do a file new Mastercam will crash!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. I am programming 3+2 axis and when I use one tool in lets say four differant operation on the same plane I get four differant offset #'s. And if I program differant plane it changes offset #'s! How can I get it to post out the same offset # for every operation?
  16. When you are selecting your cicrles in the chaining dialog window select mask an arc, click on the arc like the .032 then press enter, then up in the task bar click on all arcs then hit enter it should select only the .032 arcs!
  17. Thanks everyone for your help.I am going back to some of the older toolpaths to get this part done but I will check it when I get some room to breath.
  18. I have two differant toolpath with to differant problems both are Surface High Speed Hybrid. One is gougeing the drive surface when it is going from cut to cut. I have changed to a full vertical and also change some other settings on that tab and can not get it not to gouge the vertical wall. You would think if that wall was a drive surface it would not gouge it!!!! But NOOOOOOOOOO! The other is machining a flat surface with some pads and radii around the edges. I have a contianment boundery and I tell it to st inside but NOOOOOOOOO it goes outside the containment boundery! I have been with Mastercam since version 7, But I am telling you I am about feed up with it!!!!!
