  1. Ty will look at that. Have not been on in awhile am actually running X7 now gotta change my profile
  2. im getting M13 move a degree then M12 etc etc etc in post (Generic Haas VF-TR_Series 5X Mill) how and where in this post can I edit this. thanks in advance.
  3. We have a Renishaw probe and was wodering if anyone knows of probe body that can use the 5 tip star probe? We are using renishaw probes on Haas vertical mills. VF 2, VF 3, VF 4, VF 6, and a mini mill. We want to probe side holes on rotary table yet the true position comes from holes on the face of the part. Thanks in advance.
  4. Some holes on the machine kick out due to true position outage. Same holes on the Merlin CMM are ok with MMC added in. I want the probe on machine to figure in MMC. Will Verisurf figure it than send that data to our DNC.
  5. No the parts are moving you can mic the O.D. and see it. We even rough, release, then start final finishing and they move some more. Its some crazy SS for nuclear work.
  6. Not with 9823 but thats not the point. I want max material bonus
  7. We are probing 24 holes .420 +.004-.003 .004TP M. Any thoughts on adding the MMC into renishaw probing which does the TP only. The parts are round with 24 thru slots 1.5 thick and S.S.. They are moving at final machining and we need all the bonus we can get before sending data. We are using G65 P9823 since the slots run thru some holes and into all outter holes. We can only probe 3 points in all holes.
  8. this might sound dumb but have you tried hitting the + sign. we dont have any heinnies any more to test it on
  9. Since your doing serial nos look to your machine. We have a bunch of HAAS machines and they have a macro type program that has all the lettering and numbers in it and you can have the machine sequentially number the parts as they come of the machine.
  10. We are using bore, slot length and slot width, true position, depth of slots and sending all data to dnc wireless. Keep the probe indicated and calibrated regularly and you should be ok.We also use a disc probe for some open end key cuts so we use the two probes in one machine. I think it is W1. and W2. for storing the different probes calabrations.
  11. I have also had trouble drawing in arcs and lines. The picture blanks out when I click on end points. It is a real nightmare on the computer I am stuck with. Or is it a common occurance.
  12. I am looking for a grizzly bear to etch on to a sheet of brass for a retirement gift for a long time employee. One with a fish in its mouth would be ideal. I dont have much luck using X4 rast to vector and the etching toolpaths so I thought if someone in mastercamland had something allready toolpathed it would save me a big headache. Thanks in advance.
  13. Go to page three on this forum and you will find double lead threading. It has some good info. There is also search on this forum.
  14. We did get in touch with reseller and he thought it should be drawn in the front view. Like I say it still output XA not YA. changing the post is the only thing that has worked so far.
  15. When I check substitute Y and put in 9. in. Dia. it dosent roll the lettering like it does in substitute X. Tplane front didnt work. It now posts the same as Tplane top after I switched the xabs to = zero and yabs to = y.
  16. pxyzcout1 #Axis substitution if rot_on_x = one, #X axis substitution [ xabs = zero #was X$ 8/11/2010 yabs = y$ #was zero 8/11/2010 zabs = z$ + (rotdia$ / two) csav = y$ * (360 / (pi$ * rotdia$)) ] I switched the lines with the dates and it now outputs Y/A. I have no more parts to run right now but looking at the moves it looks right. If any post people see an unforseen problem please give me your input. thanks Kyle. And any posters in advance. This is in the generic HAAS 4x post.
  17. Its telling me. Error select mach achivable tool plane with Y-axis along mach Y set and repost. Then it tells me Axis substitution is set up for vmc with Z+ zero position (planes 1+2). So I am closer with the Generic Fanuc and HAAS posts.
  18. No that did not work. I have drawn in top, front, and right side and it still will only output XA. The tool stays on centerline of the X in verify but it is posting X moves.
  19. I can get it to output YB I need it to output YA and it will only do XA
  20. Am simply trying to write on a 9. inch cylander. Using 4 axis HMC mill. Contour toolpath. I want to keep the X axis on centerline and only use the A-Y plus my Z depths of -.005. I have axis sustitution on, substitute X checked, cw checked but I can only get my post (generic fanuc 4 axis) to output y if I have B in the table group and axis combination page even though on axis combo page it says B in the tree and C above that. what in the world am I missing or is this a post issue. I can mass sustitute A for B after I post it but I want it to be there on its own
  21. Our old okks have the weights on them and when the chains stretch it sounds like the hunchback of Notre Dame is run amok. Thanks G. Maint. will be looking at the cylinders tommorow. We got 1 that drops a couple thou.
  22. Are you saying all haas or that one. Can you get gas added to them is what im asking.
  23. Do you have inc or abs checked. I suggest everything in abs.
