Ron, I thought about that, however I have to admit I'm unsure about what to put for the rotary dia (because its already round). I guess I would pick the largest dia, create linear geo for a length of the circumference, surface flat, then use substitution with the same dia ?
I'll play with that one and see. thanks for the help.
Thanks for the reply Reece. It doesen't seem to work as well with my post (I'm guessing here), however I was thinking if I could test for no linear axis motion, then update but not output the A axis (up to maybe 180 deg) that may do it.
I'll have to give that a try.
thanks again.
Hi All,
I have to re-cut a fixture that was initially TURNED on a LATHE, I'm thought I could put the fixture concentric on a rotary table (VMC rotating about Z) and use suface contour while selecting rotate about z under the rotate tab, while it seems to work, I get a ton of short A moves going around the part, In my mind I should be able to position at a given location and spin 1 rev, rinse , repeat to the other side of the form (remember it was turned originally), is there a way to filter the A axis, or am I approaching this wrong ?
thanks for the input,
JG
Thanks Winnie,
I thought there was also one about getting the info into the code file and about the limitations and work arounds that have figured out so far.
thanks again,
Hi all,
I remember a thread regarding outputting the file descriptor, but I can't seem to find it searching for "file descriptor" or "output descriptor", does anyone recall the topic name ?
thanks,
J.G.
thanks for the replies, both quotes are turn key packages, the wireless sounds great to me, I just have not used it before.
The It/Mis people do a great job of keeping us current with the PC's so that won't be a problem.
the Quotes are very competitive, I have to assume the hardware (wireless) vs the labor (wired) are a wash in our situation.
thanks again
Madbub, I have also have lost models for no apparent reasons, along with alt A I started backing up files every night because once I had a crash during a alt A and no file after. I think in my case it is due to network issues rather than MC
On Fanuc(s), there is a parameter to select LF as a EOB or LF CR CR as a EOB, on a typical 6M I think its parameter 008 bit ICR (7), yours it probably set to 0 ?
Hi All,
I have been tinkering with mpgen5x_fanuc and seem to have it working very well in my head/head situation, now for the tough part, I know a professional post writer can add a rotary table to this mix, my question is can I ? , meaning is it a matter of using existing stuff that is in the post and formating it under certain circumstances ?
Thanks,
J.G.
