David m I run MC on WIN2K sense it war RC3 and all was faster and more stable. all most all my computers run Win2K even my server is WIN2k Server. vary stable and no more Mr.Watson. Much better then NT 4.0 every one that I know that has changed to it from NT 4 has been happier. Follow what jamse said did one upgrade at one company and had that sluggish problem. Redid it as a fresh and works great. The only upgrade that I have done with win2k that worked great was before my new server. I took an extra computer to make as a server for a while so I upgraded from WIN2k pro to win2k server. That worked great. Also believe it or not had no problem when I updated my son’s computer from win98se to winme. gcode bertau is talking about Mastercam not Predator. when you are driveing the NCI in the Predator you have more options to run faster slower show tool dont show tool and a chance to measer what you are getting.. there are a lot of advantges that maybe you are not useing. how long have you had the Predator? if you need any help please feel free to contact me on this. i use it every day. including today of all days. all so you do not have to open and close it every time that you want to define the stock.. when i started useing it i thoght the same. but no.. still glad to see you are using this software. ------------------ jay/ aka cadcam Precision Programming cnc programming & Predator reseller email: [email protected] web: www.ppcadcam.com
