in this part of the world,South-East Asia,UG RULES!I personally find UG cam sucks, and is difficult to learn and master, too cumbersome, but most companies here prefers UG cam, including my company although we have mastercam, but we are not appreciated let alone have any status in the boss eye!but funnily, the company depends on mastercam to make money, but we are looked as scums from the boss!
i found out that the gouging happens when using filter settings if in my configurations settings,nc settings-number of decimal places for NCI is set too low eg.3 places, your workpiece will be scraped!has anyone experience such a thing?
whilst cimco editor is a good editor plus it can DNC,there is one glitch i would liked to highlight.for example while searching for H (as in tool length compensation),the searched H tends to go down to the bottom of the page, thus needing to scroll down a bit just to see a little of the extra codes example speeds, feeds etc, sometimes we would liked to have a slight peep at the rest of the codes!
i get an error while sewing surfaces together."Trimmed cuve is shorter than linear resolution"later on a solid sheet is produced, but i want a solid body.can anybody enlighten me?thanks in advance.
has anyone tried this, where the main program is being DNC,and subprograms being called from the machine.i tried it but i don't know what happened, some operations went missing from the DNC or was it i missed out some operations?
i would liked to have the cutter start at the point entry stated for this internal pocket, but it can't seemed to work.can anybody take a look at the drawing named 'pocketentry.mc9?'at cadcam's FTP site under mc9 folder.thanks in advance.
speaking of hockey, may i know what sort of hockey?ice or field hockey?if it,s field hockey, where the majority of the world's population played it.India and Pakistan are the masters!
i too found it happens to me,i can never get my toolpath calculated using surface finish contour with the contour flats activated,it takes forever for the toolpath calculations and often it hangs without any results!i think it could be due to the solids i used to convert the surfaces for toolpathing.
i find that i can't use a flat endmill for sharp z depth at bottom of the electrode, becos you can't leave negative stock for flat endmill.that's a problem
if i convert my drawings with surfaces into stl file,i can't seem to be able to bring them in verify, for toolpath verification,it seems mastercam is not responding and nothing comes out if i select stl file as stock for verify?
is it possible to cut toolpath with flat endmill cutters?i find there is some flat surface left behind or cicular flat marks on job especially with suface parallel
