when i have this error message "Corrupt Entities were not brought in"during the file opening,i found that a few surfaces suddenly went missing!and the weird thing was that the surfaces missing
were part of drive surfaces in a toolpath but there were no "x" mark on the toolpath, needing no regen, and when verifying everything looks ok.but if i regen the toolpath, and verify the missing drive surfaces it will then show up the lost profile cause by the missing surfaces.can anybody give some idea regarding this phenomenon?
with solids,it is much easier to extract your electrodes for machining as well as trimming it to a desirable machining workpiece!that's the biggest advantage
got it!i will mill off all spark gaps at the top and all flat levels!that ensures that all surfaces have spark gaps except the reference plane foe edm setting
what about the highest point, wouldn't it be milled off minus the spark gap?if we use ball nose cutter,i.e. cutter dia.-(2 x spark gap),tool radius - (spark gap)?especially if the top surface is a radius surface but not flat?
when i went for a course on copper electrode milling, the teacher said to leave all flat surfaces without spark gap as well as top most level and reference plane z for edm machine setting to zero.while cutter diameter is deducted 2 times the spark gap and ball nose cutter radius becomes radius minus spark gap.but i suspect somethings wrong, what if the ball nose cutter goes over the top most point?wouldn't it becomes smaller than actual height?
my supervisor said cnc m/c can only do climb milling,is that true?i used upcut b'cos the diameter of the pin is quite small, with climb milling, the cutter will be pulling on the workpiece, probably distorting it if the height is too long and diameter too small
i too get this weird graphics view numbers like 9,81 etc,and mastercam will just shut down.i guess we sholdn't save the file while in dynamic view.and that file can't be opened anymore!
yahoo!finally i found it myself!there were 3 self intersecting surfaces in the workpiece.after i have patched up the surfaces and run the post again with and without the patched surfaces, the stupid circle endpoints incorrect error was gone!it seems the Heidenhain tnc 430 and 530 threw up this alarm but not the fanuc controller!
although i tried everything this arc endpoint incorrect warning in a Heidenhain tnc 430 or tnc530 still refuse to go away.i was using a surface roughing pocket with a 4 mm cutter.it only goes away after i use a 3 mm cutter!can anybody please offer some assistance?i have tried changing total tolerance to 0.05mm with filter on xy plane, minimum arc radius 0.2mm ,maximum arc radius 100mm,tried reducing cutter to 3.99mm,offsetting tool boundary more than 2mm using tool center boundary.changing the post too doesn't help,i have changed break arcs at quadrants.nothing works
