it was this arc endpoint incorrect error in a surface rough pocket using a 4 mm cutter.i used all the recommendations suggested by all of you members but to no avail.Lucky was suggesting some codes to be changed in the post but there was errors in the post if i just pasted all those codes in.but funnily if i use a 3 mm cutter the alarm error goes away.any suggestions?
Lucky,i wonder whether you could tell me where i can just paste all those codes in without having errors in the post MPHEID.PST given by mastercam.by the way the post is for inch
in the advanced settings tab,i set to automatic, but the tool still roll over edges making it a bit rounded.gap settings i put to broken.but if i put gap settings by extending tangential line ,it could overcut.
can anyone knows how to make the edges sharp using suface finish parallel especially in a mold cavity but the parameter settings are abit confusing.while tool center boundary set to center,as what i have done, causes the edges to be rounded
i didn't draw a big radius on purpose, but rather it was converted from splines and unwittingly use it in my toolpaths.backplot and verify didn't catch it.i am using a fanuc modified post
is there a way to postprocess the toolpath, but to get rid of the ridiculous big radius ,from the posted program bcos the OM Fanuc controller will overtravel and alarmed out!
in verify with tool holder selected,it doesn't show the shoulder length of the cutter although this has been changed in the tool define parameter, what is wrong?
If after you transform several operations of facing using create new operations and geometry box ticked and then you go into edit common parameters to change all the depths of the transform operations with say z stock to leave at z-0.1.close the parameters and then do a regen.surprise!if you open the parameters to check for z stock to leave, there was no change!so after you decide to change it with z stock to leave to z-0.1.close it and change all the other unchanged parameters to z-0.1,then do a regen.so you think everything was okay!you then postprocess it.voila!you check the z value, but found it all to have taken the earlier z depths of your former untransformed operations!a bug there!
