  1. Not true three. You have to put the taper into the thread mill page so the interpolation follows the tapered wall. otherwise the thread mill will not make a true thread all the way up the hole. IF the thread mill goes to the bottom of the hole, rolls around 360 degrees and comes up the taper of the thread mill will will "fall" away from the tapered wall. By putting a 1.7889 degree taper value in the thread mill parameter page the thread mill will roll around the hole while keeping 100% engagment between the thread mill and the reamed hole. HTH
  2. lmao, RIGHT!! And Paul at Tool Craft...there are a couple more from around here too....
  3. You can use MC to program thread mills (it works better with Tool Fab thread mills tho ) Tool Paths, next menu, circle toolpaths, thread mill. Is this a multi-fluted tool or a single blade thread mill?
  4. quote: This is a penalty that anyone can get for a bad attitude OR................three bad attitudes
  5. Iskander, WTF are you making over there?!?!?!?! lmfao
  6. I agree with Cam on this. We do EVERYTHING in solids. Simple tool holders are in solids. It doesnt make it right but that is what we do. DXF? no. Solidworks 2005 here.
  7. quote: obviously somepeople are concerned about the size of the Johnson I have been waiting to use this for a long time... Now this thread is lame.....someone put it out of its and our misery. Thank you for playing.
  8. LMAO, Thad that was a total slip-up!!! WOW, thats funny, my bad......
  9. I dont know Jeff, but I would assume that is it. Did it show up in your xxxx/remove section? If it did, try to unistall and then extract it and start over. Otherwise just extract to a created folder and run the setup.exe. That might repair the bad install. HTH & your welcome Midwest
  10. Thats the one. Unzip to a folder then run the .EXE from that folder. I had no problems.....Yes, maintenance here as well. lmao, how is that for respond time?!?!?!
  11. No problem here. Jeff your just unlucky...
  12. quote: I was so curious, I downloaded beta 3 just to see what was going on. I wasn't planning on using it, but just so curious that I couldn't stand it
  13. Heavy, you want to send me the file, I can look at it. I have never seen that before.
  14. It does seem to be leading that way. I guess I will do that next week sometime.
  15. Cadist, you been hangin out with Iskander? That is something that Iskander would have figured out!! That is pretty sweet, nice job!!
  16. When I convert into MC, the first thing I do is resave it as an MC9 file. Otherwise I forget, then half way thru I have to resave all my toolpaths to the proper NCI file. Thank you for the suggestion
  17. I have run Ad-Aware, Spybot, & Norton. I dont think it is a bug. It only happens with my MC. No other apps are prone to this unexpected shutdown. I guess that is what is really frustrating. Thanks for the tip!
  18. Thanks Hardmill, I will give that a try. Of course I am so swamped right now I have time to play. Guess I will have to pencil this in for sometime next week! lol
  19. hmmm, you didnt need to re-install SP2? Unistall the MR's, unistall SP2, then install the MR's? No, I never unistalled any of the updates. Is that the issue?
  20. Thats the real pisser to you guys, I was working on a 2D drawing, not that complicated. I have a Gig of RAM, I dont think the memory is an issue. I must have some other baggage somewhere. Thanks for the imput. Guess I will just take my driver to my box. Pauly teh dont ever wear you cowboy hat to work on a Saturday cuz the city boys I work with are having a field day with this!!
  21. Hardmill, what are you reffering to? Did you have to unistall all the main stuff then reinstall it?
