V9.1 MR0304 (latest maintence) Solids
I have been working and just had MC shutdown 5 times today. I NEVER used to have this problem!! All of a sudden over the past few weeks it seems it just keeps crapping out on me. WTF am I doing wrong that this is happening? Does this happen to anyone else on a consistant basis?
bottom to top, deffinitly go that route. Then it spirals out in a counter-clockwise motion.
# of teeth is set to number of teeth on the mill. 20 TPI, 1 inch cutting length on mill, 3 flutes, you would enter 60 active teeth.
HTH
What a fantastic first thread to read on a Monday!!
The war has been a heated topic here, and the fact that one of OUR own Mcammers is checking in from there is awesome!
God Bless Soldier!
Sike when you put it that way it makes sense. I believe that any dealer would set up training at your facility if you asked and wanted to pay for it. It is hard for anybody to give you practical knowledge pretaining to your products without studing them and making them in the past. Lots of programers make molds, I cant, but I make cutting tools and many would stumble on that.
Training from the dealer, when you are a newbie is IMO the best way to go. They give you alittle about everything, and if you put forth the effort and try, you could prolly get them to use your parts as part of the class.
Plug away, and ask away, we are looking for some "on-topic" stuff to do...lol
I dont know anything about indexable thread mills, that is why I asked. We make solid carbide ones, so I didnt want to give any info that wasnt accurate.
@ Keith
Brendan, I am positive it isnt X.
Phil, I have Kenny Chesney playing now. I am on a country kick currently
Wes, way to jinx yourself buddy!!!
and yes this is new since the Sept. Main.
I save them all. I like to have backups. I have had operators change code and crash machines then blame me.
Its not like the files take up alot of space. Unless you get into some hardcore stuff, then still, the NC and NCI are not very big.
The MC9 is a must to save. If you have to go back and edit your program, your are pissin in the wind unless you saved the MC9. Then you just bring it up, fix it, resave, and repost.
All my MC9's go to the server, as well as one copy of the NC file. Then another copy of the NC, and a the NCI go to meh local drive.
Its redundant as far as the code is concerend but....
Pauly teh CYA
lmfao, I did dude. This is an example, its all highlighted. It doesnt matter what I try. If I say "polar" I just get the white value box, no "Direction, Distance" ya know?
Even when trying to rotate a Gview, its the same thing.
Pauly teh I have done this before.....lmfao
I installed the release today, but when I am in Mcam it stills says MR0304, what did I do wrong? I installed it to the proper directory, I DOUBLE CHECKED, but it seems it didnt work. Is it supposed to say MR0304 or MuR0904??
Or call me and I can tell you everything you need to know. 4140 HT, NP.
