Good Morning everyone. I was trying to mimic a chamfer-fillet blend in V8 yesterday (solids) and after many tries was very unsuccessful. I kept getting the error messages that are associated with solids. I was wondering in V9 if it was possible to create disjoint blends and bodies, cause if it is then I will go to my boss and tell him we need it....now. thanks for your help. Chris

I have worked in a company where the father and son were together. Now this was a little different because the father had ownership of the shop. In my opinion it's alright to promote from within your family. You're his son. Period. And the others will have to learn to live with that. If the case was that you were squandering the opportunity given to you (which I am 100 percent sure that you are not), then I could see why they would have issue. If you and the others are treated fairly and with respect I don't see the issue they have with it. Don't let them get to you.

Actually I had this thought just after I sent the posting. I had to change: fmt mr2 4 to: fmt 4 mr2 And it worked fine. It seems it will output the actual name of the real value plus the given value if you tell it that mr2 has a certain decimal value Thanks guys.

Can anyone tell me why when I force output of mr2 the I get this: G91 Bmr2 90. Is it something to do with the format statement? I would like it to com out like this: G91 B90. Any help would be greatly appreciated Chris

Hi everyone. I'm currently working on a post for the above mentioned machine. There's just one thing that's making me stuck. What I would like to do is : (SCENARIO) I have a piece that I would like to do three sides on. So in the absolute world (if rot_ccw_pos is set to 1) I'm looking at tplane (front), B0 at tplane (side) B90, and finally tplane #6 B270. What I would like to do is have it ouptut (in the same order), G91 B90(SIDE), G91 B-90 (TPLANE #6). Is it possible or must I contact my dealer for this type of change? Pactec, Thanks for the reply, I wouldn't say I'm worried about it. Hell, if I could get paid for just shoving in a STL file push the button and read my favourite magazine I probably would not complain, but it would never be the same as what we do now. Also just to be clear on this post. I'm not trying to put a scare into people or create any type of conspiracy theory. I have been reading alot of articles on 3d Stereolithography machines lately and am very impressed with the technology. It got me thinking though... what happens to people like us in the near future if they are able to make it faster, and more productive. I am probably thinking too far ahead as far as advancement in the tech is concerned but I'm curious to get some other opinions from other people. Do you think that this technology will eventually make the machining industry obsolete in the near future or not in our,(average age 25 to 55) life time? For example: M0 (RELEASE AND RECLAMP PART) T1 M6 (1/2 ENDMILL) (FINISH MILL OUTER CONTOUR) I would like to be able to split the two comments as shown The (release and reclamp comment is in my manual entry toolpath operation) and the (finish mill outer contour) is typed right in the actual 1/2 endmill operation. it just seems that I can't split the comments up in the code

Hi Chris As a matter of fact I do. I took a trip down to Kitchener last summer just to see how the old homestead has changed. I dropped in to In-House too but I guess everybody had gone home for the day. How are things going down there?

Bryan, Why would you say that Ireland is a surprise out? I personally thought that they had been playing well, But I guess I wasn't looking at it from the European point of view. I agree. The coach(manager) for Perugia is way out of line. Of course it's his job to score on the opposing team!!! But to say that he is never welcome back to play in Perugia is just sour grapes. On the other hand I understand the frustration that the players and fans feel. This is the last time I will say it, But I think Italy should have had that game, They just went on the defensive way too early in the game and were too afraid to go on the attack more often in the end thats what cost them.
