  2. What I normally do is that I do it in two operations 1st rough pocket 2nd finish walls with contour lot less headhache. Ok it's 2 ops. but your tool is only gonna go to your retract or clearance plane and you'll have total control on your start point and lead-in/out.Hope it helps! Simon

  4. I really don't know what's wrong because i do exactly what you explained and sorry but i did worked and we run xp pro. Maybe rebooth or try on another file to make sure it's not the file wich is corrupted. Good luck!
  5. Only thing you need to do is to go in the control panel under folder option, view and desactivate hide extension for known files types. Hope it helped! Simon

  7. I use to work in tool & die too and i can tell you that we used different kind of toolings (sandvik, tageutek and valenite) and we had to adjust our feeds and speeds according with company. Ex.: we could use a 350 ft/min in D2 with tageutek and the inserts were lasting but with sandvik we needed to reduce to 275. I would tell you to refer to the company tech. data guide and start with about 80% and see. Sorry for lathe not enough exp. Hope it helped.
