  1. Eh, sorry guts. I guess I should have looked on the information page first. I see they are there. Thanks.
  2. Have the mininum requirements to run X changed from 9. What are the minimum versus the recommended?
  3. Sup guys? I learned Mastercam on version 9. I am currently only using version 8.1.1 with the company I am currently with. They only have a Mill level 1 package and it works for everything we do here. So my question is, would an upgrade be worth it? Or should I stick with, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"?
  4. 2 Matsuura Vertical Mills 1 Matsuura Horizontal Mill 4 Daewoo Vertical Mills (soon to be 15) 1 Citizen 1 Daewoo Puma w/ sub spindle(soon to be history)
  5. None of those worked. I managed to get it to output it in the code everytime I post it and will have to edit it for end use. Now trying to figure out how to manipulate it better in the actual misc. integer.
  6. I recently received some help editing my post from here and was wondering if you guys could help me out again. I am using the MPsubrep post. What I was wondering is........I would like my post to ask if I would like to rotate the subs and at what angle. My post outputs the following: T1 M06 (3/4 FLAT END MILL) T1 (CUT POCKETS) G00 G90 G54.1 P1 X2.7857 Y6.759 S2037 M03 G43 H1 Z1. M08 M98 P1235 G00 G90 G54.1 P2 X2.7857 Y6.759 M98 P1235 G00 G90 G54.1 P3 X2.7857 Y6.759 M98 P1235 G00 G90 G54.1 P4 X2.7857 Y6.759 M98 P1235 M05 G91 G28 Z0. M09 But I would like it to output something like this: T1 M06 (3/4 FLAT END MILL) T1 (CUT POCKETS) G00 G90 G54.1 P1 X2.7857 Y6.759 S2037 M03 G43 H1 Z1. M08 M98 P1235 G00 G90 G54.1 P2 G68 X0 Y0 R180 M98 P1235 G69 G00 G90 G54.1 P3 G68 X0 YO R270 M98 P1235 G69 G00 G90 G54.1 P4 G68 XO YO R180 M98 P1235 G69 M05 G91 G28 Z0. M09 Any help greatly appreciated!!
  7. Thats fine I only needed to go to G54.1 P12. I have another question, is there a way I can get the post to output a subprogram at every tool change to check for tool breakage?
  8. Can't thank you enough guys!!
  9. It works in most posts but I am refering to the Mpsubrep.pst. It outputs g54 g55 g56 and so on, I need g54.1 P1 g54.1 p2 g54.1 p3 and so on.
  10. Is there anyone here that could edit this generic post for me so that instead of using G54 thru G59, using G54.1 P1 thru G54.1 P8? Much appreciated. Would need the version 8 post.
  11. Not sure Jack, guess I'll find out when it gets here.
  12. Well, I have been at my new job now for about a month and I am enjoying it very much. Although still no luck talking them into Mastercam. They insist on Surfcam. I have not used Surfcam, but from watching my boss work on things, I am not sure if I want to. Although the company did decide to buy an Integrex after acquiring me. Tried talking them out of it. Aww well, it will be nice running her again. Hope everyone is doing well.
  13. Seems how I am finishing up my final days at my present employer and I will not be using Mastercam at my new employer, I was wondering if it was at all possible to get on a mailing list for a version 10 demo so that I may stay a littile up to date.

  15. Well, I am just about half way through my final 2 weeks. Company's been having me work 12 hours a day and now 6 hours on Saturday to try and get them ahead a bit. Also asked me if I would do contract work for them if needed. My have just quit one job and replaced it with two.
  16. And, no, not alot of programming jobs here. most want a programmer, set-up and operator all rolled in one for 1/3 of the pay. gotta go where the money is. someone always willing to pay for good help.
  17. going to be machining things to make custom machines and machine attachments with robots and electronic eyes and such. Should be fun. Atleast I will be machining something else besides stainless and hastalloy.
  18. And of course THANK YOU TO ALL for all the great help and great info!!!
  19. Well, its now official. In 2 weeks I will be changing jobs and using Mastercam no more . The company I am going to uses surfcam. I am not going to be using it though. I am actually taking a step backwards and reentering the tool and die trade. More money than I currently make and less hassle. Payin those bills is more important. There is a chance that in the future I will get back into programming with this new company, but right now I am moving with the money. Of course I will be checking in frequently to see how X is. Will always be a Mastercam'er at heart.
  20. Could someone please supply me with a definitive list of G-Codes? It has been a while since I have programmed these by hand. I am going to be taking a new job where I will not be using Mastercam. They use SurfCam but I will be doing most of the 2-D stuff at the machine. Thanks.
  21. Can someone direct me as to where to get information on how to get an apprenticeship program start at our facility?
  22. I guess i should have pointed out that I am thread milling a pipe thread. Anyhow, job is done now. Reverted back to simplt tapping it. Also was wondering with the Integrex doesn't compensate for tool diameter on its approaches when doing angled milling. Like when I do a tornado mill at angle it approaches fine but collides with the part on the initial plunge. I always have to do the trig and move my start point. Just seems funny that you tell it so much info and it "knows" so much that it can't do that on its own.
  23. I had tried it in tornado milling. I knew that much. The only problem is in tornado milling it does that darnred finish pass at the final depth at a constant depth, which in turn ruins my threads. How do I get rid of that finish pass at the end?
  24. Is anyone familiar with thread milling on this machine? Is it possible to do thid in Mazatrol or do I need to do it in EIA/ISO? Thanks in advance.
  25. I being x and j being y or vise versa?
