Okay this is odd. I shut off the G12.1 and it is not doing it anymore. The problem is I need to use it. What is my problem?

Not understanding why this is happening. I used it on almost an identical part the other day and now it wasnts to turn my spindle off then on again on almost every depth of cut. The only misc. I am using is G12.1. And I do have a spindle speed set.

Can anyone tell me why when I turn on the ramp ption in surface rough pocket and post it, it keeps turning my spindle on and off? I have used this before....not more than 3 days ago and it did not do this. No upgrades to anything and nothing has changed in the post.

So let me ask this.....Machine tubesheets here and at this time we are drilling them on two Okuma mills and with their IMAP programming it makes it pretty simple to program the pattern. Although if I want to do these on lets say our Integrex it gets a little more complicated. We do some tubesheets that have in excess of 600 holes and that would be alot of sequences in Mazatrol and would take me forever in Mastercam. Could I write a VB script that would create a variable grid that I could snap to? The holes are usually on a .500 or a .625 triangular pitch and do not always start at the same distance from 0,0.

Did you check and see if the machines parameters were changed so that it would use the correct set of G-codes for your post. We have 2 newer Integrex's, not sure how they differ from yours. The only problems I have had with my post were 6 digit tool numbers that I didn't need and it would not machine arcs correctly unless they were broken up into sections, these were both simple fixes in the post. Living in a town that is roughly 10 miles from a reservation alot of people in the are buy smokes and gas at these convience stores. Gas is usually .10 to .15 cents difference a gallon and smokes are a different ball game. Here in Bradford a pack of name brands will cost you anywhere from $3.50 to $5.00 a pack. I can go on the res and get a carton for $22.50. Big difference.

This comming from a state that recently passed a no smoking in public buildings law and is also kicking around the idea of making smoking in your own vehicle illegal. As well as stating that 75% of New York State residents are non-smokers. [ 10-30-2003, 02:05 PM: Message edited by: RStuart ]

Was curious of your views on the fact that as it stands now as of December 1st New York will start impoosing a tax on cigarettes and gasoline sold on reservations through out the state. Didn't we sign a treaty with them like a 100 years ago? How can we, the USA, or the State of New York do this? The last time this was spoken of the Indians blocked the turnpike with flamming tires.

Eh, its jusst another dramatic situation that I managed to get myself into. And like all others I will get out of it and on to the next one. Glutten for punishment. Life goes on. When it comes to the job in my area pretty much the bottom line is I really do not want to move again. At 25 years old I have moved about 12 times to different towns. This is the third shop I have worked for and until recently I enjoyed it very much. I am the only one here that can fully operate our 2 Integrex's and the only one that knows how to use mastercam. This will blow over. I am a patient person. As for you out there that want details....I'll share. Lived with this girl for about 8 months and about a month ago things went sour. Caught her in alot of lies. Lies about things not worth lying about. Then there was the controlling and overbearing personality. I had asked her to move out for about 2 weeks to no avail. So finally one night I went out with a buddy of mine to a pool tournament, which I finished third in, and after stopped at a local bar on the way home. Just stopped in to say hello to some friends. Bumped into a girl I had not seen in a couple months and we hit it off. Never returned home until 7pm the next day. And when I did I got the crap slapped out of me. Surprisingly, never being in that kind of situation, being slapped around by a woman, I showed immense retraint and did not strike back. I called the cops to get her out of MY house and they made me leave even after she threatened my life right in front of them, because I would not press charges. WHEW!!! I probably could have handled some things differently, but nobody is perfect.

Didn't realize this would get such a response. As far as that job in my area goes I am not really qualified enough for it. Don't have that piece of paper they are looking for. Although I run circles around our college grads here. Everything I know has been learned in a shop not in a class room besides programming classes. Please excuse me while I vent....I made the mistake of dating a girl that works at the same company..(cringes for the slaps) We are no longer together and she went as far as to call my boss at home and tell him all the gory details(which I will not disclose here) My boss now has chosen sides (not mine) and my personal life is now affecting my job. We had a pretty heated discussion about it and I got into some trouble for saying somethings but my point is if you are going to come up to me at work and discuss my personal life then the minute the conversation starts we are not at work anymore and I am not going to show the same respect or restraint I would normally while having a disagreement with a superior. Which is what I have told him. So as you can imagine work stinks right now and am looking for other places of employment. Anyone need a good Integrex operator with MasterCam V9.1? Anyhow anyone have this problem or similar and how was it remedied? Or am I the only stupid @#$*& to do such a thing.

This is a touch subject right now living in a town taht is just 10 miles south of the new york state border where they just passed the no smoking in bars law. I am a smoker, have been all of my life and we all can argue until we are blue in the face both for and against the issue. But it just does not make any sense to me. If the darn things are so bad for you and so disgusting, why are they legal? The states make money off of them. Yes they do kill but so do alot of other things that aren't as closely descriminated against. It all started with people sueing over people supposedly dying from smoking or the cig manufacturers not telling you whats in them. As far as that look at some of the hazardous stuff in your shop, go look through the MSDS and I bet you find one that says trade secret or something to that affect. They will never make cigs illegal. It would be a prohabition all over again. And if enough smokers stood up against all these taxes on cigs it would be another Boston tea party. As a smoker myself I do respect others wishes but they too as non-smokers must respect mine. Don't walk into an empty bar while I am smoking and sit down right next to me, damn near in my lap and ask me to put my smoke out. Thats rude also. Its really a no win situation that people and the government have brought on themselves.
