Extra long saving time in Mastercam X9

I am having a problem with Mastercam X9. hen I go to save files it takes a few minutes to save. Is anyone else having this problem?

Having a Mastercam viewer on a tablet could let the operator view what is going to happen so he does not have to bother the programmer. Being able to post might be a good thing in some cases.

I have a laptop that I am using for Mastercam and the dialog box is to big for the screen. I am not able to make it any smaller to get to the green check mark. Does anyone have any idea's on how to make the dialog box smaller.

I am sorry. I started this wrong. I am trying to draw up my holders and bring them in as holders so mastercam knows which is the holder and which is the tool. Can I bring the custom holder and tool so mastercam can show me collisions?

I am trying to figure out how to use the tool manager in mastercam. I want to start creating my tools and holders as an assembly. Can anyone help with this.

I finally went to X6. I have been using X+ for my setup sheets and love how it works. I can not get it to work in X6. It keeps giving me the error shown below. Is there some thing I am missing?

Can mastercam put anything for a zeis cmm?

Normally I Draw the helix and drive the thread mill to the curves but this time I used the thread mill program. So I do not know if it will match the threads or not. There is no curves to mach to.

It is a 1/4-20 thread. I went .375 deep and now I have to go .75 deep. The threads have to match all the way. This sucks.

I thread milled some parts and now they want me to put them back in the machine and make the threads deeper. I don't know if it will do it and match the threads. Does any one have any suggestions?

I have 5 seats here but only two solid licenses for myself and one other programmer. The other guys just post and go, they do not need solid licenses to post. I just can not figure out why one computer will not turn it off. Maybe I am doing it wrong. Can some tell me how to do it?

I have a stupid question. I turned off the solid license to all the computers except the the one's that need it. One computer will not take the setting and continues to have solids turned on. Is there something that I could be missing?

I can go back tho linking it to geometry.I like the new dynamic wcs. I just want the view manager tho be in order of operation.

I just do the dynamic wcs. it is not associated to geo. There is no way to reorganize the wcs's at all?

I liketo have all my wcs's in order. sometimes I have to rotate a wcs and it makes s new one. I would like to place back in the order of operations but mastercam will not let me. how can you move the wcs's around?

I have been doing that also but was just thinking it would be nice to be in one software.

When is Mastercam going to add mating abilities? There is a lot of times that I need to have two models together to get the job done. I don't like that I have to measure the distance the two are apart and then move them or translate from point to point. It would be nice to have mating abilities. A lot of times I go to solidworks and mate them and parasolid them into Mastercam.

I will program something on one machine and then we have to run it on another machine. The operator at that point will replace the machine def with the right machine. My question is when that is done shouldn't the new machine def replace all the D values for the tools. I have one machine that the D values are the same as the tool number but the other machine you have to add 30. When we switch Machine def we have to open every operation and select each tool to force the new D value.

On a Fanuc 16-i M control is it possible to bring in more than one program at a time?

I was not complaining about the new simulation. I will use it and like it but the safer you feel about the code that is going to the machine the better. I use vericut right now and it not only shows crashes it shows if there is going to be a scraped part. With vericut I can make sure the cutter is not going to violate the part in any way. That has saved me plenty of times. I was very happy about Mastercam going in this direction.
