had the same problem this morning with a 5AXIS CIRCLE MILL routine. was informed by app engineer from machine builder that i cannot use radius cutter comp in 5 axis tool paths. and that took care of the problem. try removing the RL and R0 lines and see if that makes adifference. in my case the tool was not utilising the Z retract moves and was staying down to move to the next hole.
Control is Heidenhain, codes are the same
i did not notice are you running Plane Spatial or Cycle 19
wear comp here. with control comp the tool cuts to the centerline ( have to add radius of tool in machine tool register ) of the tool whereas wear comp cuts to the edge of the tool. computer comp cuts to the edge of the tool with no G41 or G42 generated. wear will generate G41 or G42 depending on the way you program.
what's the point of MCX5 MU1 allowing the user to select check surfaces in some of the new high speed tool paths and then turn around and disregard them in back plot or verify. bites me every time
did you try the surface flowline the tool does NOT jump around much and finishes one angled before moving to the next. watch the surface normals. the bigger the gap settings the less the tool jumps around and the less air you will cut
as Gcode says check the stock view setting. i always set mine to mastercam,s top view for all the machine groups and do not have any problems when using the STL for toolpaths or verifying using multiple WCS's
the save some function will save as an iges as long as you window what you want to save as an iges file. if it is a solid model you will have to create edge curves on the solid. i do this every day for our QC department for them to program the CMMs for first pc and inprocess inspections
it does this after the computer sits for a while. the restart fixes it but that gets old after after a while and it is a real PITA to to have to restart mastercam every time to fix it
running X4 MU3
what causes my cursor to disappear whenever i hover the level or attribute buttons at the bottom of the screen?
using nvidia quadro fx3800
take a look in the machine builder's manual. it should be in the keep relays section. if i remember correctly it is not a Fanuc function but machine specific
i am not trying to use the print screen. i am trying to use copy image to clipboard from the screen pull down menu where i can copy individual areas of the screen by windowing them. it worked fine in XP befor the upgrade to windows7
