Hello Steve,
I see you've purchased several of our books in the past. Because of this, you can download the X7 version of the demo software here: http://www.emastercam.com/board/index.php?app=downloads&showcat=29 Just make sure you're logged in to your eMastercam.com account when you try to download, otherwise you'll be told you need to purchase something through the eStore first.
The X6 version of the Home Learning Edition/Demo software expired back in October 2013 so X7 is the only available option at this time.
Hope this helps!

Hello Bennido,
Yes, we do ship to Germany. When you go to check out and pay for your order, the store will automatically calculate how much it would cost to ship the products to your location before you have to pay.

Hello,
We have several products covering lathe, 2D & 3D mill, and multiaxis in our eStore here: http://www.emastercam.com/board/index.php?app=nexus&module=payments&cat=3
Our lathe, Mill level 1, and Mill level 3 video training discs can be bought together for $75 and have a total of 26 step-by-step tutorials. Our Intro to Multiaxis video training CD can be purchased for $50 and contains 10 tutorials. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Hello,
A little clarification: The Beginner Training Tutorial is a compilation title. It takes 6 chapters from our Mill level 1 book, 2 chapters from our Lathe book, and 3 chapters from our Solids book, but it doesn't contain any new information not already contained in those 3 titles. If all you're looking to learn is Mastercam for mills and have no use for lathe or creating solids within Mastercam, then the Mill level 1 training tutorial is the better choice of those two. Each page in the store has links to a free sample PDF so you can see what each title covers before making a purchase.

Hey Rick,
Are you downloading the files in Internet Explorer by any chance? For some weird reason, IE doesn't like the X6 HLE 32bit download. I've tested it with Firefox and Chrome, it'll download and run without a hitch. But it gives me the same error you received when I do it in IE. If you click 'view downloads' or press "CTRL+J" while in IE, you can right-click on the file and say "run anyways". You can also copy the file directly from your downloads section to the computer you want to install it on and run it as usual.
-
Hrm, you might need to log out and log back in for the new permissions to take effect.
-
Hey Rickster,
Your account has permission to download the HLE from here: http://www.emastercam.com/board/index.php?app=downloads&showcat=29
It's normally only downloadable by a eStore customer but since you're one of ours I've given your account permission to do so.

I bought an X6 lathe book at work here and don't think I received a HLE with it.
Strange, all of our products are supposed to ship with the HLE install disc, unless you got it before the X6 HLE was released? Regardless, your account here has permission to download it from eMC. You can find the 32bit and 64bit versions here: http://www.emasterca...oads&showcat=29
If anyone else here would like access to the HLE, PM me and I'll hook you up.
-
Hi Jim,
You can uninstall and then re-install the HLE to get it working again.

Hello,
We've found the error in the drawing for exercise #4 and are working at replacing it in the PDF and future print versions. However, for those who already have print version, you can download the attached file. Individuals who've bought the eBook versions will be able to download a corrected version as soon as it becomes available. Or use the attached file in the meantime

Hello BNFab,
We sell some materials that might be of use to you. Check out the free sample PDFs at this link: http://www.emastercam.com/board/index.php?app=downloads&showcat=82
Those free samples will let you know what sort of topics are covered in each of our books, along with a sample chapter that shows you how we approach the material. These books are available in both print and PDF format. The print books are black and white (the samples are full colour because they're based on the eBook version), but the Mill level 1, Mill level 3, Lathe, and Intro to Multiaxis training tutorials come with free video training CDs in addition to the book and the Mastercam X6 Home Learning Edition/Demo software. The PDF books don't come with videos but they're full-colour and you can download the X6 HLE from this website after buying them.

Hello Dave,
The HLE for X6 is set to expire on October 31, 2013. The HLE discs are not specific to the textbook, so you can use the HLE with Mill level 1 Training Tutorial, with the Lathe Book, with Mill level 3, etc. etc.
The video training CDs that come with Mill level 1, Mill level 3, Lathe, and Intro to Multiaxis Training Tutorials do not expire.

Hello Bill,
I've sent you a private message.

It could be a windows 7 issue. A lot of programs I run (not just Mastercam, Adobe Acrobat in particular does it to me all the time) in Windows 7 will falsely state "Not responding" if it takes too long processing a file. If you leave it, does Mastercam eventually come back to you or do you have to end it every time?
-
Yeah... I love my Samsung ( droid) tablet.
It's great for Kindle reading and light websurfing, but I'm back at my computer for anything
serious
I have an Iconia Tab a500. I use it for e-reading, some light gaming, comics, and watching videos when I'm away from home. Given the choice I still prefer my good ol' desktop.

I would imagine that if we continue to talk about other cad systems or if the Mastercam bashing gets out of control, this thread is almost guaranteed to be locked. If we can try and keep it civil even though some of us are far past frustrated then maybe it will stick around for a while.
I think individual comments will be addressed directly before the thread gets locked or deleted. I'm sure if all the legitimate "I'm not happy about X" or "Y doesn't work as it should" or "it should have function Z" disappear and the thread turns into nothing but childish name-calling, personal attacks on other forum members, libel, etc. then it'll get locked. But I doubt the thread will be closed while there is still legitimate and somewhat productive conversation going on, even if it is occasionally spiced up with some less-than-noble language

Man, CNC competitors are finding in this place an amusement park...
Instead of bad-mouthing the product themselves all they've got to say now is: "Check out their forum... Then give me a call..."
The funny thing is people still accuse us of censorship. People who have been cherry picking this thread for weeks for quotes to support their anti-Mastercam stand also claim In-House Solutions suppresses even the slightest hint of negativity towards Mastercam. Cognitive Dissonance fail!

I think they're dividing 583 hours by 14 days... = 41.64ish.

This is true but it also takes a lot of time, hard work and commitment to get there so that should be worth something.
It should be, but it isn't always. Any time you look at going to college or university you have to accept that there is a possibility you'll acquire tens of thousands of dollars of student loan debt and spend years studying hard, only to end up as a button pusher for minimum wage. I'm not saying school is bad, just that it never guarantees a better job or higher pay.
