We sell a couple of books that deal with importing geometry created in other CAD packages like SolidWorks.

They might be able to help you get started. Each package has a link to a free sample PDF that shows what's all covered in the book and how we approach the material. Might be worth taking a look at. The new Print + PDF Combos we offer will have a printed book shipped to you while you are given immediate access to a full colour PDF version of the book you can read right away and even after the printed book arrives you can keep the PDF as a digital backup or use it for portable access without needing to carry the book everywhere.

But like others have said, training with your reseller is a good option.

I don't believe I can bulk delete just a user's attachments, I'd have to scrub their entire post history and that's irreversible.

IPBoard has been experiencing problems around the web preventing some users from using the manage attachments tool. You may have to click on the thread each attachment is in and then delete them one by one.

These bundles are our Multiaxis Essentials and Multiaxis Advanced training tutorial books. The Essentials book comes with a video training DVD and you are given the Mastercam home learning edition software. The 2 books are normally $90 for essentials and $80 for advanced, but right now the bundle is selling for $102 for both.

In x9 there isn't the hardware acceleration options

In X9, it's in the advanced configuration. In Windows 10 you can search "advanced configuration". You can also click "start", then go to "all programs" or "all apps" depending on which OS you're running, select the Mastercam X9 folder, then advanced configuration. It'll be under "graphics support"

I have X9 installed on my copy of Windows 10 Pro 64bit here, works fine.

Will X9HLE run on Windows 10?

A friend is trying to install it on a Win 10 machine and it won't let him install it

Could it be a permission issue? Not running as admin, insufficient hard drive space?

This book takes you step-by-step in creating geometry and lathe toolpaths. The book comes with a video training DVD with one of our trainers walking you through the lessons in the book so you can see how we do things if you get stuck in the book. The book will also come with the Mastercam Home Learning Edition/Demo software. It'll be X8 since the X6 version expired last year but it sounds like you have a seat of the software to play around with anyways.

Select the version of Mastercam your book is for and then browse for the title of the book you're using.

You might be able to get it to work by disabling graphics hardware acceleration.

One thing to try is to go to Windows Start > All Programs/Apps > Mastercam X9 Demo-HLE > Advanced Configuration, then look for Graphics Support and disable hardware acceleration.

If that doesn't work it's possible the computer isn't able to run X9, either due to the hardware or the operating system.

Are you using Windows 10 home or pro?

Are there any updates for your Nvidia drivers available?

You may also need to update .NET framework to a newer version.

Finally, does your laptop also have integrated graphics in addition to the GTX card?

Do you have any Windows updates pending? If so, install those and then see if Mastercam functions.

Try deleting your config file. For the HLE you should be able to find it here:

C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\my mcamDemoHLEx9\CONFIG

The file you want to delete is mcamx.config

Let me know if that works!

What are the specifications of your computer? What is your operating system, graphics card model, how much RAM do you have, etc.

I've shot a message over to a developer who specializes in IP board we work with occasionally to see if she has any ideas, see if we can get this figured out.

I just checked, and Mill-Turn does not appear to be included with the HLE.
