  1. Deleted links to the HLE. The official terms given to us for hosting the HLE was that it had to be behind a password wall and could only be distributed to our customers so I can't allow links that bypass that.

  2. Hi Rick,

When you go to open your file in Mastercam, select it and then hit the "options" button. Make sure "Edge curves" is selected. Note that not all filetypes have this option, I know it works with .STP, .DWG, .X_T, but not .IGS. If you've already opened the file in Mastercam you can select "create > curve" and then either "curve on one edge" or "curve on all edges." I've recorded a short video showing how to do so, I used X9 but it should be the same in X8: http://screencast.com/t/mov2rw5Qg2

With "create curves on all edges" what I did was select the command, then I hit "CTRL + A" to select everything, then hit enter. Someone else might be able to show you a more efficient way to do what you need but this should get you started!

  3. Hello Scott,

Would you be able to send me some screenshots of your software highlighting these difference?

One more question, are you using the Mastercam Home Learning Edition/Demo Software when you go through the books or are you using it on your own licensed seat(s) of Mastercam? Could there have been any changes to the default configuration? Finally, which operating system are you running?

  4. Hello Scott,

I just want to make sure I understand the issue correctly. Are you saying you have the X9 Mill Advanced eCourse (under a different account I'm guessing, I can only find X7 and X8 Mill level 3 eCourses under this one) and the X9 Mill Advanced Training Tutorial in printed form. The contents of the X9 Mill Advanced printed book differ from the X9 Mill Advanced eCourse?

  5. Hello,

What sort of things are you looking to learn in Mastercam? 2D mill, 3D mill, lathes, routers, etc. All of our Mastercam X8 books can be found here: http://www.emastercam.com/board/store/category/161-mastercam-x8/

If you tell me what you want to do in Mastercam I can direct you to the appropriate books that would help get you there.

All of our X8 books include a copy of the X8 Home Learning Edition/Demo software. It will expire this summer but if you purchase your materials through our online store you will be able to download a newer version to use instead.
