  1. I msged him with some info about our machines for Carbon cutting. I've heard decent things about Onsrud as well.
  2. Will Slota just stopped by my machine and said hi to make sure it wasn't our machine that you were speaking of! Seems like a good guy!
  3. It's good practice in my opinion to move the WCS. Many higher-security models etc that you may end up using later need to be left in their original co-ordinates for verification down the road (At least here in the Aerospace Industry.) I recommend leaving it where it is and moving your WCS around it.
  4. Thanks Tim, I thought that the preloading was odd myself, but I tried modifying the code on the controller and that alone didn't solve the issue. We're having other issues as well that will need a tech to come out for so when the machine is working again on its own I'll test out a few more things and email you
  5. Alright I'll test that on Tuesday when I get in. The machine does Tool-Changes just fine in Jog and MDA Mode, but it's just the syntax of the code in Automatic Mode that I'm having a little trouble dialing in.
  6. So, new to the Siemens world, I'm having an issue with tool-changes during an automated program. I can change tools just fine in Jog. Just a simple T1 M6 Command does it fine. However; the code in the automated program outputs as G0 SUPA A0 C0. TRAFOOF G0 SUPA D0 Z0. ROT TRANS G0 SUPA X0. Y0. M5 M1 ;T3 - 3/8" CARBIDE ENDMILL - D1 - DIA .375" T3 D1 M6 T2 This pops an error saying "Waiting for Master Spindle Speed SP1" And it waits and it waits and does nothing..... Any ideas?
  7. I've never been a huge fan of the Xeon Processors. I much prefer the i series. I have an i7 on my home and work computer and they both perform flawless. Besides that it looks okay. Don't worry about SSD, your SSHD will boot windows fast. 32Gb Ram might be Overkill. 16Gb at home and I've never according to my montior used more than 65% of it, even when running multiple stressing apps.
  8. Luckily it was not one of our guys. Morley said they're happy to fix it, but they don't have any drawings or schematics either haha. I've found pretty much bumkis as far as any documentation on what it should be, even from DMI themselves. I'll give that # a call and see what I can see.
  9. Quick question for the people of eMC! Our DMI Router was incorrectly wired up, and subsequently blew a transformer and a frequency drive for the spindle. We have been looking for the proper schematics/drawings for the electrical cabinet, but have not been able to find any. DMI themselves were little help, and my google search hasn't been too fruitful yet. I'm hoping one of you fellow eMCers will have a similar machine and would be willing to take some pictures of your electrical cabinet for us so we can determine where the 220v power is supposed to input into the cabinet. Thanks!
  10. I think we might have the same desk from Office-Max there buddy =] Looks the same, filing cabinet on the right side bottom drawer?
  11. Oh, here's the kitty and I in our natural habitat.
  12. The Keyboard is pretty old and I don't like having the digital switches. I'd much prefer the Mechanical Switches of the Razer Blackwidow. I'm going to pick up this one http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-keyboards-keypads/razer-blackwidow-chroma For headsets, I'm using the Sony PS4 Wireless Gold Headset right now, Hoping to upgrade to something better down the road just don't know what yet.
  13. Went out and bought 2 Lenovo 21.5" Monitors. (Originally bought one, but my other monitor was 23" And the size difference was bugging me. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/191368149719?lpid=82&chn=ps They have extremely deep colors which I'm absolutely in love with. anyways; here's the full set-up now. Just going to buy a new Keyboard next paycheck and a new sound system eventually. Outside of that I'm good for the next few years. This is the keyboard I have on order. http://www.polygon.com/2015/4/17/8440055/razers-blackwidow-chroma-tournament-edition-is-a-sleeker-version-of
  14. Yeah it is a screamer. Perfect 7.9 on all Windows Experience index, no benchmark tests yet as I'm waiting on my new CPU Cooler, (Corsair H80 internal watercooled) Once I get that I'll overclock and run. amazing for gaming, I'm absolutely loving it.
  15. Yeah, I'm a very big fan of it. Wiring it is a complete nightmare however. Just an FYI! But it works great and I really enjoy being able to control my case temp
  16. Actually a little louder than I expected. I plan on re-wiring the case this weekend. I'm not too happy with my initial wiring job, and I have a wire somewhere that's clipping a fan and the noise it makes is...Annoying to say the least. At least I opened up League of Legends with ultra settings and managed to get 120FPS. And I haven't even started OCing yet >=D
  17. Who builds a computer using on-board graphics anyways?
  18. It lives! Doing some early after-noon wiring planning. After that we realized just how big the GTX 970 Really is.... Gonna have to re-think the wiring to fit this monster in there. Oh well, we got her in! Got the wiring all done and booted her up! some wiring harnesses to clean up and some new peripherals I need to buy, but she runs and she looks pretty! (Those SSD's btw.....I'm amazed. I can re-boot in 11.5 seconds, took me all of 9 minutes to install windows 7 from a USB drive.) Up next will be getting a new CPU cooler and then OC'ing to see our performance! Still installing programs/drivers/updates right now.
  19. Yeah I plan on it! Still need to buy a better CPU Cooler (The CPU Itself came with a regular heatsink fan, I want to get a radiated closed system like the Corsair H80) Then I'll OC it. Probably a couple weeks out for money reasons, didn't want to wait since I had a basic heatsink fan already.
  20. For those who wanted to see the pictures etc. Here's the build itself: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Awbade/saved/#view=kpfkcf And here's the Specs: i7 4790K Unlocked Quad Core Processor 16Gb DDR3 Patriot RAM. 250GB Solid State HDD 1TB Seagate HDD 4GB GTX970 Video Card And here's the pictures I took yesterday when I got it all together. So far all I've got is the Power Supply in and the motherboard mounted with RAM and Processor, so nothing too juicy. Got a buddy coming today after work to help me do the wiring etc so I'll have better pictures after that =] Money Shot of everything: Close-Up of Processor; Motherboard; Fan Controller: Close-Up of Video Card: Cat while I was trying to take a picture. And of course, the ever important thermal paste.
  21. I'll post some pictures of the build etc, probably in Off-Topic haha. It'll be fun playing around with a much stronger computer than I'm used to.
  22. Mainly gaming, however I will have VPN Access to my MasterCAM NetHasp, so I will probably do a little bit of after-hours programming on any projects I'm behind on. Might install a few other program demos etc to learn some stuff. I'm pretty confident It'll be able to handle CAD/CAM work pretty well.
  23. Last Piece I need is going to be delivered today. I'll let you know how it runs when it's all put together =]
  24. Not really a budget build, I'm building a rig to do some nice 60+ Frames per second gaming on newer games. I can lay it out pretty easy. Just realized looking at my parts list it's a 970STRIX not a 980. 25. I'll let you know when I finish building my PC Tomorrow night =] I've got a GTX980 running in it which is only 1 spec newer, I expect it'll run well though.
