  1. I bought the Doosan GT2100 M Cheers guys
  2. The two machines in stock that Im looking at are a Doosan GT2100M no Y axis and the Haas is a ST30 2 axis Lathe.
  3. Looking at a Haas ST 30 or a Doosa GT 2100 HAAS is a 2D lathe with 10" chuck and linear guides. Doosan has C axis, live tools, box slids on X and an 8" chuck Whats the Haas like for conversational programming? Haas has a more powerful spindle motor, but I'm not convinced on a linear guide lathe machine
  4. Not Pitch but Lead! M50 X 2mm pitch 3 start thread. Lead is 6mm. So I did 3 Thread mill tool paths starting at Z0, 2 and Z4 with 6mm pitch
  5. I would make 3 diff toolpathes with 3 diff starting heights(every height diffs from the next by pitch\3) No Luck Cheers
  6. @Guitar do you mean Helix Bore toolpatrh? No way to start a contour toolpath at an angle?
  7. How do I thread mill a 3 start thread using the thread mill toolpath? The only way I see is to create 3 different toolpaths with starting angles at 0, 120 and 240. Be nice if we could pick a dialog box for number of starts like Lathe. Cheers
  8. ^^^ Thanks they will contact In-House
  9. I was doing some programming at a customers and they had a very large surfaced model. MC kept getting bogged down when calculating a toolpath on surface number 641. Is there a way I can find this surface #641 and take a look at it?
  10. The customer has spoken to Dave and he told them he cant do Siemens canned cycles for the Lathe post as he modifies a Fanuc base post. The customer is looking at getting rid off both these ECO DMG Siemens controlled machines because MC cant support them.
  11. The customer has been told by the Australian MC reseller they can not provide a post for these two machines. Because I use to work for DMG Mori they contacted me asking what I used when I was at DMG Mori. I used a post from Dave Thomas back then.
  12. Where's there email info Greg? Oh and Happy Birthday!
  13. What's the best way to contact In-House?
  14. The customer has been told by the local MC reseller they can not provide a post for both the Vertical and Lathe. Is there a post that you can mod for these machines? What Is the file extension needed to run NC code on these controllers?
  15. Did it post ISO code? What does the file extension have to be for running ISO code with these controllers?
  16. Hi guys is anyone out here using a MC post to run their Siemens 810D controller on their 3 Axis mill and Lathe? I have a customer who has a Vertical eco from DMG and an eco Lathe. Can these machines run with ISO code? Can these machines be run with ISO code if so how? DMG are saying they need to run in Siemens language and MC say they don't have a post for these machines. Thanks in advance.
  17. I played with this today. Using the offset, work offset screen. I touch X- direction and then press X0 measure. So now my G54 and absolute value equel zero at the X-. position. Now I dial the X+ direction. I get an absolute figure which is equel to the G54 position. I tried all posible maths in the controller and NONE work. So my point still remains you have to use a calculator to divide the found distance by 2. Once I have the distance divided by 2 I can then enter this calculated value as X(Value) Measure. Now the G54 is set to the centre of the block. I find it strange that a Fanuc controller of today can not do simple maths. Love my Mori!!! P.S Doing Toolmaking I always work from centre of the block, wether its a bolster, insert, core or cavity. That is why I clock my jobs up perfect.
  18. MTB you have now found the true length of the block. You still need to dived this length by 2 somewhere (calculator) to get a figure to type into the controller to say X "measure"
  19. What I'm saying is I don't know the overall sizes of the block. I touch X- direction I then touch X+ direction. I get a relative figure of 100.256. Now I have to use a calculator don't I? The controller will not do X100.256/2. "measure"
  20. Im using a 3D Sensor to set the middle of my jobs to X,Y zero. I can not see how to set the X,Y zero without having to move half the found incremental distances / 2. Then setting work offset by X0, Y0 Measure. How do I set the middle of the job without using a calculator and not having to move half the found distance?
  21. The controller itself does not do any Maths. I was hoping I could calculate the Absolute position in the controller instead of always having to get a calculator out.
