  2. I like the long sleeve denum shirt option...... JMHO, Mike R.
  3. Thanks all, I tried all of them, but none would open my ug (v18) files. I kept getting a "schema incompatible" error message. Could this be because the files were saved under a unix platform, and I'm trying to open them under windows? TIA, Mike R.
  4. Thanks All! I just downloaded actifly (with the UG option), and I get a memory access violation. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Or mabye it's 'cause it's a trial version? Thanks again!!! Mike R.
  5. Hhi Jay! It's a software that lets you look at part files from acis, parasolid, sat, etc. You can't manipulate geo, but it's a nice thing to be able to look at things. Here's the link: http://www.hoops3d.com/ C-ya! Mike R.
  6. Hi All! Does anyone know of a "part viewer" that will open native part files, such as Mcam and ug? Webby turned me on to hoops, but they don't open native files. Thanks in advance!! Mike R.
  7. Thanks guys! That certainly cleared it up for me! Mike R.
  8. What's the advantage of the slot milling toolpath over a pocketing routine? TIA, Mike R.
  9. And again, and again, and again............................................ (I mean no disrespect to you, RMS, it's just that if I had a nickel for everytime I've read about this problem (or had it), I'd be in Bora Bora now).. Mike R.
  10. I"ve posted this before, and it's the long way around it, but here's how I do it: open ms power point and insert the object. save it as a windows metafile open acad, insert the metafile, then save it as a dxf. Open mcam, and convert the dxf. There ya go!!!! HTH, Mike R.
  11. Yup, now that's a HANDY add on to mcam!!!!!! Mike R.

  14. Hi SAV! Not yet, our maint. dept. has yet to finish hooking it up.....they need the wiring diagrams from the manual to check out some stuff (I don't know squat about electrical stuff). I'll let you know as soon as it's fired up, though! Thanks again, dude! Mike R.

  20. Hi All! Is it possible to recreate toolpath operations (in ops manager) from an nci file? I know I can backplot to see what was done, but can I recreate the toolpath ops? (I'm looking at a student's work, and he saved his file (to disk) without saving the toolpaths). Thanks all!! Mike R.
  21. I have to agree with CNCme, .X_T would be the best of all. I do this between UG and Mcam all the time, and things come in VERY clean. Mike R.
