  1. hey troy.. another local N vernon person here.. I currently have my allocations both set at 150000 and I am running a total of 1gb ram as well and mine runs well with these settings....I do have a slight bit faster processor though.. running a 2 GHZ processor...
  2. theres a 64 bit version of windows XP out as well in operating systems....
  3. I run two older milltronics machines sometimes and if you dont hit the e stop before shutting them down the head drops about half inch or so...this is a problem when these machines are running and freeze up in middle of toolpath cause the e stop isnt recognized when u hit it and guess what when I have to power them down and restart them yep the cutter crashes right into the work piece...
  4. this didnt work out for me...
  5. thanks Ill give this a try...
  6. on ther job setup page there are some options I want to keep unchecked .. how or what do I need to change to keep these options unchecked by default.. every time I start a new session of MC they recheck them selves and I have to go back in uncheck them... thanks,....
  7. jbel.... If I could afford a larger more safe vehilce then my used little truck I would have grounds to talk...
  8. philcot.... I understand youre point of view and thought about it myself but I know for a fact that 4 billion dollars isnt exactly pocket change to lose know matter who you are...but like I said Im just ranting not expecting a miracle to happen here...lol
  9. went through a local gas station as as everyone is probablly noticing when you fill your tank up it puts a big dent in your wallet.. well the gas attendant told me and was telling everyone else not to buy gas today and to tell everyone we know not to buy gas .. she said that the oil company would lose like 4 billion dollars if everyone didnt buy gas for a day.. well I know just her spreading this message and the few people that also bothered to spread this message arent gonna hurt the oil companies pockets enough to cause them to lower gas prices... I was wondering if there was a way we could all set up a web page and spread it across the internet dedicate one certain day dont buy gas day and see what the possibiltys could be... anyone think we could spread this message across the internet to enough people to make a dent in the oil companies pocket for at least a day and if we could even go two or three days without having to buy gas think of the losses... time for the big guys to pay the price instead of us little guys at the pumps that can barely afford to fill there tanks up with the way gas prices our now adays.....Im just ranting but if anyone thinks this is a possibility we can pull off then Im game ....
  10. surface rough pocket always works well for me...
  11. thanks....Iskander... figured it was something simple.....
  12. ever since I installed the new release when I go and get a tool from a tool library I created my self with my own presets on the feeds and speeds it changes them to something different from what I have them saved as in my library of tools that I created .... any ideas ??? thanks,,,
  13. yeah no cutter comp is on in master cam or in the controller itself...milltronics told me to turn off the cutter comp option in the controller itself when using master cam and this fixed the problem I thought, then it has arose again here recently..
  14. 2d toolpaths cutter comp off and arcs being output as I,J,K... I have tried with arcs being output in r values as well with a different post and still same problem...it will do it with a surface path as well... these machines are like 15 yrs old so maybe its just them..
  15. I am using milltronics cnc with a centurion 5 controller and every great now and then when it goes into doing a arc move or exiting a arc move it makes a big loop instead of folowing the surface or the boundary.. I have tried a few of the different posts that came on my instalation cd and even some sent to me by my dealer.. I was wondering if anyone is using this type of controller and what post they are running without having these problems.. thanks...
  16. ok I did this and save it as a new file name thus preserving my original file.. well its missing drill toolpath parameters now when I try and use a drill cycle.. havent tried anything else yet.. I restored my defaults back for now so I can keep up and running...
  17. ok thanks guys I will give this a try and save it as another file instead of overwriting my defaults...then change it in my screen configure...
  18. I have some certain options on my paremeters pages for contour and other 2d paths that I always have to go in and change on every toolpath I write up.. is there a way to change them to where I want them to be and then save it so I wont have to make these changes every time I write up a tool path,,... thanks...
  19. try adding more RAM.. that always helps....
  20. windows xp requires a minimum of 256 of ram and is recommended to use more if u can afford it...
  21. nope I added the "N, "M11",e" line but that was it...
  22. when I use a drill tool path my post is not posting in the peck clearance I am specifying in the drill parameters page.. ex if I was drilling a hole and I my last drill depth was at Z -.5 it will then rapid right to the Z-.5 depth then pick up my drill feedrate.. instead of rapiding within .250 of the previous depth it drilled to... here is what my peck drill cycle string of text in my post looks like.... ppeck #Canned Peck Drill Cycle pdrlcommonb n, "M11", e pcan1, pbld, n, *sgdrlref, *sgdrill, pxout, pyout, pfzout, pcout, prdrlout, *peck1, *feed, strcantext, e pcom_movea thanks for any info on this matter....
  23. @ bucket head... the picture wont open up after I download it... thanks anyways../.
  24. the spindle wont turn off either... its some safety feature that the company turned on in the controller... "Tool Retract and Recover" is the so called option they can enable on the controller by doing something in the parameters on the controller... they said they dont have this enabled for safety reasons....
  25. I have a topper machining center with a fanuc series 18i-m controller on it.. My problem is I can not hit feedhold and go into manual mode so as to change out insert on cutter during middle of my program I am running... this option is available in the parameters section of the controller but the tech support people dont want to tell me this or have some one do it for me for less than 1500 dollars...they said its just a matter of enabling this option in the parameters so I was wondering if there were any fanuc guru's out here that my be able to help me out here... thanks....
