  1. I have heard of this problem if you are using a Mastercam Nethasp. Cimco Edit OEM uses SimAccess.dll (provided by CNC Software) to check for the Mastecam Hasp. It seems a bit unreliable when using a Nethasp. I dont think copying the Nethasp.ini makes any difference. I will ask the programmers to take another look but I have been unable to reproduce the problem on our network. For customers experiencing problems please email me. Steve@cimco
  2. Cimco Edit Professional(not Mastercam OEM) has a new feature in the macros that lets you define a formula. I have a few formulas done and can share them if anyone wants them. I would load them up on to the FTP but cannot get on at the moment. Just email me at steve at cimco.dk
  3. I think I managed to reverse engineer the code for one of those (not sure if it was a 550)but it was a long time ago and produce a post in v9 or v8. The first time we ran the code it made the operator jump as the machine ran fully automatic and it wasnt supposed to. I think this was one of the reasons Harrisons didnt like to give out too much info but the code was plain text so it wasnt hard. I will try and find the old post.
  4. Hi Mike, When does the alarm come up? You only have a % at the top and bottom of the file? Not using any reserved program numbers for the subprograms?
  5. Mike, can you Punch a program and receive it in Cimco Edit? What IO channel do you have set on the Fanuc? You can also tick the "Wait for XON" under the transmit settings and then send the program. It will not start transmitting until you press Read Exec button. Saves a bit of walking.
  6. Hi, Cimco Edit5 Professional does a good job of simulating Heidenhain code. You can download a 30 day version from our website if you want to try it out. http://www.cimco-software.com/download.php3 The Cimco Edit you get with Mastercam does not include the backplotting and macro functions that you get with the Professional version.
  7. Can you send the file to me steve at cimco dot dk
  8. Just built a new Pc with a FX 1300 (pci express) card and I'm very happy Using latest Nvidia drivers 67.20 with default settings. Mastercam and verify graphics are sooo fast. Cannot go back to my laptop now.
  9. Looks like its on the "to do" list. September Maintenance release includes a Chook called chkholder for checking the holder against the part. If you click on the help button the text file states 3) Holder library is under development. The holder definition will be expanded to include tool extensions and complex holder shapes.
  10. Hi James, can you please send examples to me. Thanks,
  11. If you check solid on the toolbody it comes up with a Parasolid error message then 0 errors detected. Send it to QC.
  12. Tinny, give 4D a call. I'm sure they will help you out. Regards Steve Tanner
