  1. Concept in V9? I have never seen 9 or any previous version show that. It may be different if you have X running also, I don't know.
  2. Troy, what is your question? How do you get moldplus? or what are the bennies of using it?
  3. Nope. It has always done that. I wouldn't give it that much credence. You can still have other apps open. X is a different platform and resources are not hogged.
  4. I have had the same issue. I do use auto-save but it will always put it in some directory that I was in last time my config was open.
  5. Not too sure there Randy. I had only seen it trying to run a setup sheet. What were you in the process of doing? besides testing video card abilities with Quake???
  6. enihw ebureB ttaM. There ya go.
  7. Right Jay, I use the preview all of the time and while you are in there you can change to move and see the results. I use copy a lot so it really doesn't matter to me.
  8. +1 to Paul. I have had zero in nci with the same issue. Regen the toolpath and it worked.
  9. Its not that big of deal to click on groups and hit colors use enitity's colors. I like it coming in as a group. That way if you want to move it by layer or translate its basically a click or two.
  10. It comes in as a group. Click on group properties and change to original color.
  11. I went to plot again and now it's back to normal colors.
  12. I have an HP500 designjet. MR1 This is the first time I have had to plot with X and when I hit print picked my plotter the dialog said Mastercam out of memory. No biggie I guess. It happened when I hit preview. BUT when I went back to MC my background color is white and all of my lines are black. F3 didn't do it. Anyone else see this?
  13. Where did you get it from Matt?
  14. Printing or plotting? I tried a 3 by 3 square and it worked fine.
  15. Too late. Roger beat me to it. You may want to look into the project toolpath using the two arcs of your donut. It is a pretty cool toolpath. Very similar to scallop except you can really control the start end end points. I meant Blend Toolpath. DOH!
  16. "A" surface in the mold industry is a part that is something aesthetically pleasing. Interior trim that is visual always falls into this category. Usually requiring graining. I still can't imagine cutting anything with NO benching afterwards unless they were looking for a certain pattern which he mentions. I remember when I first got into this trade. We were building molds for name plates and gm I think it was wanted a spiral pattern like a record. (record for you young guys was vinyl and had grooves which produced music) I dunno but back in '87 a few years before I got into cam, I had no idea on how to achieve that. Guess I could tried it on a cross-slide. cross-slide(another old machinist tool)
  17. you know James, RandyN posted in this thread as well mentioning the facet problem, and at that time we (Randy and I) were using Fadals at Omega. Sure was a long time ago. Three shops ago and I have had two different member names.
  18. That's what it sounds like. Video card. Maybe there are some adjustments you can make with the monitor. Resolution etc...
  19. On the icons...not sure, but you can reconfigure your RMB (right mouse button) anyway you like. Do a search on RMB and you'll find it. It was covered in depth it about two months ago. Welcome to the forum.
  20. Thanks guys.. I was wondering where those damn points were coming from. I use this a lot.
  21. I have seen this happen, Peter.
  22. Kind of what I figured too. In the same boat.
