  1. In the read me file they said they changed that because of complaints. Yes you must click-hold move then release and click again.
  2. Mine was the same as Gregs. I ran an update anyhow seeing the driver was dated last month. It is now at 5.5.7 3.2 We'll see how that goes. Thanks guys.
  3. Is the 1/8 EM a flat bottom cutter? I think cutting plastic with a small cutter will leave you something like a push of material where the previous pass was made as the cutter sweeps the material into a previous cut area. It is very slight. the property values of plastic make that hard to accomplish with a small cutter or any cutter that makes multiple passes over an area. If the part is coming out flat with a fly cutter passing over the entire width I would say the head is most likely trammed correctly. But I would still check it.
  4. I have a lot of trode modeling to do, but I should be cutting by Friday too. Can't hardly wait.
  5. Thanks John I will check out the firmware. It only happens when I have a ton of graphics on the screen. Mostly big files... mostly.
  6. Minor? That's a big difference in length and width.
  7. Ken, I went about three months with it working fine, then all of a sudden I started to get the jumpy ball. Left unattended in a matter of minutes my part would flip off of the screen. Now it seems to be steady again. Have you noticed this or prior to MR1 with Sp1 maybe?
  8. No problems with my 5000. Haven't tried backplot yet. Actually seems better.
  9. It says unknown file type when I try to run user app moldplus.dll
  10. I am wondering if it just needs a toolbar created? I see a toolbar but nothing in it where my moldplus used to be. i will mess around a bit.
  11. I was just going to ask this Randy. The c hooks are still there but I get the errors. Have you tried opening it or just going by the error report? What are the ft extensions in the c hooks directory?
  12. I am downloading it now. I will check my spaceball ASAP. I have the same one as you.
  13. You may want to post this in the forum. As far as I can tell MCX has not been able to print view ports even prior to MR1 which I do not have YET. Welcome to the forum
  14. I may not have seen your post Pete. I rebooted a few minutes ago and its working now. The last one a few weeks back I could never get it to write. I will see if I can remember what file it was and send it to you. Thanks Pete.
  15. I posted this a few weeks back. Solid model. op1 generated fine. op2 same op3 same op4 unable to extract solid face. over and over. Boundaries...no boundaries... different toolpaths tried as well. I hadn't changed or done anything. Just all of the sudden my solid can't be cut.
  16. Welcome to the forum.
  17. I was a beta tester for 9. It is not such an easy task. First of all you have to keep getting designs to the floor plus code to the machines. All of that while learning "new" software, finding bugs which in turn make you find workarounds ...still getting stuff to the floor and logging your finds and emailing them in. Patches come out and you start all over again. It is at times very cool to use the newer software, but there is a negative side. Especially when your boss is still expecting the same productivity. I can hardly imagine what the X testers went through.
  18. It's my first op 99% of the time. Absolute Depths is the way to go. I use a slab surface at maximum depth if I need the tool to go outside of my true cutting area to get into a nook or cranny where helix or ramp can't be accomplished. I know there is the option to plunge outside of tool boundary which would eliminate the need for teh slab, but I am not all that comfortable with IT.
  19. instead of mirroring (word?) flip cplane to back. Create your box..translate... and then create letters. I usually drop a point (start point) in my rectangle so they all line up and delete points afterwards.
  20. Its been 5 months since 9.1, but when the wcs is used and you have a view or plane saved it will put that next to it. A lot of folks here are still using 9 or X and have better memories than I. The n shows up if the view is a saved named view.
  21. I would like everyone to show their appreciation with a big thank you and toast to the folks and their invention of the wheel. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Better late than never.
  22. Is Mike still teaching? He hasn't posted in a long long time?
  23. I was perusing some of my older posts. Thought I would give a kudos to CNC for helping fix this problem. Now you can check for small surfaces and when analyzing, the surface creation number is shown. Hadn't realized I have been on this forum since March 01. Heck that was 4 shops ago. This forum is great. BTW whatever happened to Mr. Reynolds?
