Hi all,
I'm trying to make Greek letters to cut out of sheet metal on a CNC plasma cutter.
I'm using "Create - Letters" then selecting "Greek" in the script dropdown. It defaults to "Western"
The preview shows Greek letters but when I type the alphabet in the box and then hit "OK" they are regular letters not Greek
Any ideas? Thanx
uhhhhh....I think yer still drunk Ricky
edit: sorry Ricky....maybe I'm still drunk. Your message had no content, but I didn't wait for the attachment before I blasted ya, sorry
Sorry to hear that Brad.
The big thing we have on our side is the Area Salesman, Phil Haming. He is born and raised in Louisville KY, went to UofLouisville and will go above and beyond for the benifit of his home state.
He has lots of HAAS machines at UofL, he has some here at Murray State University (which is 19-0 right now woohoo ) and our local Calloway County VOTECH.
I volunteer in my spare to help with the machines and keep their MasterCAM updated and so forth.
Again, sorry it didn't work out
The school here has two HAAS Toolroom Mills and two Toolroom Lathes and a boat load of manual machines and I'm pretty sure the HAAS machines were donated demo models. You might want to talk to HAAS and see if they would donate to your school
HTH
Yep, good job Brad
I do that here with the local VOTECH twice a year. I try to make something that will interest kids and also try to keep it an object that they can relate to. The cell phone mold is what I done last time and it really got a lot of attention and questions from boys AND girls! It's amazing the amount of people in this world thinks everyday items just "Show up" lol with no manufacturing whatsoever
BTW, I think the flag is Trevor's
I see that your file is 50-70Mb. When my files get over 200Mb I have a temp folder on my C:/ drive that I cut/paste my file in and its way faster. This might not be your problem, but it always helps me.
