I've just saved a thread for future use and have many more saved. Are my bookmarks going to be rendered useless with the "new" forum? I convert the pages I want into PDF. You can even add to an existing PDF if the thread gets a new post

Goin on 6 years this October.
Bossman bought THE 1st TM-8 Lathe at IMTS 2004 as a floor demo, then in '05 bought a VMX-50, then in '07 bought a VMX-42.
The TM-8 was bought for a production delrin job and has paid for itself 10 times. We lost the prod. job last year and it doesn't get used very much....just the occasional Aluminum or plastic runs that come thru
We have had no mechanical trouble at all, but have had alot of controller/software trouble. When we first got the last of the 3 we have, the bossman threatened to hire a helicopter to raise it out of the building and drop it on Hurco headquarters LOL....we had LOTS of trouble with it, but it's finally strtaightened out :fingers crossed:
It runs pretty much 24 hours 5 days a week 12,000 rpm 600 ipm cutting 48 Rc H-13
G18/G19 are swapped. If you are just gonna use G17 (X,Y Plane) it will be fine, but if you plan on doing 3D contouring you will need a Hurco specific post. I have several I would be glad to share if you need them.
It makes perfect sense to me. I use it alot, but I always transform all ops at the end of the file. I have been wondering how to do this for a while now because I have been wanting it to post G54, (toolpaths), G55, (toolpaths) etc. and at the start of the next tool start with G55 (toolpaths), G54, (toolpaths), etc. going back and forth between parts instead of rapiding back to G54 at the start of each tool.
I'll experiment with it some, thanx
