  1. Looking for any ideas on justifying a trip for me and a few others to the brass. We are considering buying another machine in the next year. All idea welcome.
  2. I belive you can adjust the tolerance on G61.1 by putting a k after it with a value between 1 and 100. I dont remember which end is tighter but you could probably figure it out from there hopefully. I used to use this on a variaxis, but its been a while. Hope that helps
  3. Count me in too, I was either confused or didn't ask a pointed enough question during the mastercam demo before we bought two seats as I too have found the verify to be laughable in its realiablity, and function. Very dissapointing, and a huge hurdle for me to get good parts out quickly. I am aware of a few work arounds, but feel that for the price I should not have to use them. I'm all for anything that can get this working properly. Toss out a few email adresses and I would be happy to write them.
  4. I gotta ask...whats the Ctrl Shift double click thingy???
  5. Anyone have an idea if it will be difficult to have V9 and x on the same box, while we are adjusting to the new software??
  6. Thad, yeah I do most of the new product programming, and yes, we make very large indexable cutters, 12-24" dia, for processing lumber. On average we fill a very large dumpster full of steel chips once a week, pretty fun stuff. I havn't seen one yet, but the machines they install these heads on are nuts, 1000hp, and spinning a 3500lb cutter at 3500 rpm, they process a 20' log in under 3 seconds. I cant wait to see that. As far as the name thing goes, I've always been a little paranoid about putting my name out on the net Have a good day all
  7. Thad---mind sharing, I would love to see others ideas on how you guys use the ops manager, currently I create all my ops from scratch. If there is a better way I would love to see it. Thanks
  8. I have doom3 but my pos computer wont run it properly, gonna upgrade after new years, looking forward to playing online multiplayer with it though.
  9. sandvic 7x dia thru coolant drills, expensive, but beat the hell out of guhring in my experience. 7x dia, no peck, just make sure that the chips are breaking properly. good luck
  10. Bryan, I could use a gmial invite if you could spare one more. Ahhh friday is finally here
  11. i have gotten used to blaming everything on Multnomah county Kevin
  12. I also get at least 1 crash a day, normally more like 2-4, been like that for me for me on two different computers, never have been able to figure out why. Sometime during file save, which is by far the worst time to crash. It is frustrating but life goes on. Anyone else have stability issues, or is it just me and chip?
  13. In the maintenance section, there is a lits of the bug numbers that are addressed by the sept. update, anyone got a text list of what those bugs are? Would just like to know because there are currently features I dont use, or have work-arounds for, and would like to know if there now work as the are supposed to without having to trial and error my way through. Thanks a lot guys, Have a great day
  14. This is probably a dumb question, but what would be the purpose of changing the nci file?
  15. Awesome rob, I will use that, thanks a lot.
  16. That doesnt work for me Rob, but it was a great idea. The names of the level are still overwritten.
  17. Thanks James, I will try to remember to do that in the future. I suppose its probably too late to add this to the want list for X. Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to strip the levels out during the translation process, but maybe in the future. Have a good day all
  18. Anyone care to share if there will be an option to import files like a dwg or an x_t to a specific level. Right now it will come in on its native levels, which messes up my level manager when I have my fixtures and other stuff on named levels. Thanks
  19. It runs well for me, but I have to change my backround color to white prior to running it or else all black graphics. I also seem to have an issue of it repeating tool numbers for some reason, I get 2 or 3 copies of certian tools, and then none of the others, right now I can only get 2 tools' info in the sheet. Anyone else having an issue like this? I am very vb ignorant, but very much appreaciate you guys creating tools like this for the rest of us. Thanks again
  20. I had the same issue with T-plane numbers, my re-seller told me that mcam will not be stable if they arent named. It is time consuming to keep naming views, but I know of no other way. Hopefully there will be a better way in X.
  21. I have fought this same problem for a while now, and is one of my few complaints about mastercam. Hopefully there will be a fix in the near future.
  22. It is a software option, even if it doesnt have it, they can come out and install in the field. Call your local mazak dealer and give him the serial number, he will tell you if it has the option, and if not, how much it will cost to get it hopefully.
