  1. Hi Guys. Doe's anyone out (besides me) there in MC land use the Machining Data Handbooks?
  2. Any end mill that starts with SS My most used is SS-30625 with DC11 coating also their AFI end mills for aluminum I've yet to find any end mill to rip thru faster. Here is the site Data Flute
  3. +1 to Crazy Millman Myself I like data-flute end mills for stainless they are ground to 50 degrees, are 3 flute and have corner rad's from .008 to .06 because stainless is notorious for chipping corners on square end mills. Doesn't trochoidal milling make for very long code? I've never used it but it seems inefficient.
  4. Hi Cass. What type Stainless?
  5. Bruce I think if was a nice guy he would send you the c-hook.
  6. Rick check out this link. If I didn't screw it up. http://www.emastercam.com/ubb/ultimatebb.p...5042;p=1#000010
  7. Vericut is what seems to be the software of chose around here.
  8. Rob Meehanite is a cast iron and it machines like butter. If possible machine dry or use a constant low pressure air blast because if you use coolant the chips are going to turn to mud. Run all speeds and feeds the same as gray cast iron and watch out for break thru of holes, it has a tendency to chip.
  9. AutoCad 3D Solid? I didn't think AutoCad did 3D solids
  10. Hi. Mike I would suggest MC training at a reseller near him. Apparently you do not know this person. Deepak R singled you out personally. why? Sounds somewhat spooky to me. "Come look in my van little boy... I have puppies and balloons."
  11. Other than chatter, no. Recheck what chris m said and be sure both are checked and perpendicular. I know of no other way to get that error. I get it sometimes with other milling operations even with the finish section turned off but not straight contouring.
  12. Try adding a point outside the the contour you are trying to cut, then move it above the chain. It should start at that point then cut in to the middle as before.
  13. Locks up and shuts down, sometimes. Old news. I'm good, but thanks.
  14. Hi Guys. I've a question for all the horizontal Gurus My post got screwed up (don't ask) So I'm trying to revamp one out of the sample rotary post. When posted out it goes beyond 360 degrees (If it does a complete rev. + 30 degrees it outputs B390.0) I'm looking for a place in the post that I can tell it to stay in the 360 degree range but there isn't one. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
  15. Thanks for the responce Thad. Everyone in MC land must be sleepy. No. With all the points on there own level I want to get information XY and Z locations for all the points.
  16. Hi Guys MayDay thanks for that Jamman answer. I tried that, worked great. I put all the points on a seperate level. Is there a way to get a hardcopy of everything on this level?
  17. Thanks Thad. Screen res is 1024 x 768 I believe i'm using the default, I tried the chook version and got an error.
  18. Good Morning Guys. Does anyone out there in MC land know if there is a way to have the Operations Manager open to full size on the screen. When I open it I drag the right/lower corner to enlarge it and when I open it again, most of the time it small again. It can be a pain if you have a Butt load of operations
  19. I have a EZ-Trak post for the Bridgeport EZ-trak mills that works o.k. It cam with Mastercam I'm sure your tech guy could help you alter a lathe post that will work on the EZ-Path lathe.
  20. Hi Guys Do any of you have trouble (sometimes) with views. I'll rotate a model around to measure something or check to see if a contour is at the correct depth and when I click on the element I want to check BAM... part goes back to top view. I'm a little bit
