  1. quote: In this case, his example was in V9 so it's a moot point. Not to Him. He still doesn't get why. He changed his ctable to 1 and it worked with no errors. He Thanks you Paul, but He wants to know what if He has a job that uses partial degrees with ctable set to 1 will He get errors again. (He's only playin)
  2. quote: Ok so in this case the post has all the control and not the CD correct? Crazy^Millman I dont understand.

  4. Hi Guys. How does everyone like " X ". I'm sill on the fence but I'll come around I'm sure. Anyway. I've got a job that I'm doing on a indexer. When I code it out (in Ver 9 or " X ") I get this error message. WARNING-INDEX ANGLE DOES NOT MATCH POST SETTING ('ctable). I need to hold down the return key to go through about 25 error messages (all the same) When it finial codes out the code is correct. Any Ideas on what I need to adjust in the posts.

  6. Hi Guys. I haven't been here in a bit and this was probably asked already but here I go. I just received an Email from my distributor that X is going out to me today. For anyone out there in MC land. Is upgrading to X as much of a pain in the neck as all the paperwork leads to believe? Do I need to save just about everything I've changed or added to 9 or will X change only what is needed? Thanks
  7. Hi Guys I imported a part and want to cut the outside contour. When I code the program it posts all straight line cuts so I want to convert to arcs (It is a funky shape which should have a lot of arcs) When I go to modify, Cnv to arcs and pick it it won't convert anything no matter what I change the tolerance to. Is there a better C-Hook out there then MC's Cnv to arcs. By the way this is with Mill-3.
  8. I reverse engineered one of our pallets, now we make our own and also sell them to the company next door for 2/3rds the price of ordering them. They have the same type machines we do.
  9. Thanks Steve. I'm Still trying to straighten out my lost posts. Did you ever look at the Rotary issue we were talking about?
  10. Hi Guys I had this at one time but ..... I need my comp number output on a specific machine to be the same as the tool number. I need to find where in the post or txt file where I can change this. (No matter what is in the job set-up)
  11. quote: Did you consider the Point Cloud chook Yes I am looking at it but nothing is coming out correct.
  12. Hi Guys Here is a question for all you surfacing Gurus. I need to make a prototype part to fit a plane. The company is giving me the section of the plane the part mounts to. My inspector is going to give me about a million points from the Zeis xy and z. The question is. After I convert the ascii file is there a way to use these xyz points to make a surface.
  13. I tried several ways and it looks like gumby and pokey had rubber children. I posted it on the FTP side in the unspecified_uploads folder under Threept If somone gets time could you look at it and tell me why I'm an idiot. 18. Hi Guys. My system went to Sh*t. Had to dump everything. They reloaded system with Windows XP. (From NT) While using MC I get an error which reads Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error Program; C:Mcam9mill9.exe Abnormal Program Termination. Than it shuts down Mastercam. When I reopen MC and call in a program it loads fine but shows nothing on the screen at all. I need to reboot for everything to be back to norm. Is there any suggestions as to what I can try. I had to reload MC as well and I had no backup of anything. Video is NVIDIA Geforce FX5700 system is Windows XP Prof. with AMP Athlon XP2200+ -- 1.79 GH, 512 mb ram. I have no idea what the above 3 lines means.
  19. A+ to HevyMetl 1000 = 1 sec. 500 = 1/2 sec. Rpm/60 = 1 rev.
  20. According to my wife. To Much. And he blew me away with that also.
  21. DavidB I didn't see the beginning of this tread. Seems You know what to do your just unhappy about the mill seat and Maintenance. Don't blame you I would be too. Hey look up. Looks Like my sharks and diver are competing in synchronized swimming
  22. DavidB If your planing on intricate milling on your lathe then yes I would get mill 1. If your only planning on simple milling and holes I would do it by hand because it is simple to do if you know manual miull programming. X is the same as milling, Double the Y coordinate and change the letter from Y to C.
