I run cobalt drills @ 20 sfm and .0025 chip
carbide end mills 70 spm .003 chip per tooth
stub tools peck-drill center drills to max
allowable dia.s
I cut Inco, Invar, Kovar. Titanium .... all the
time and this seems to work best for use.
Open unspecified_uploads in the FTP site above
then download MEConsultant20.Zip unzip it and go to High Temp Alloys(Nichol base).
That's what Inonel-718 is.
I agree with HevyMetl about Checkmate.
I find it to be the best so far.
If I remember the cost is around $75.00 a gallon
but you use only about 4oz. per tank of water.
About the cable, cross pins 2 and 3 for communications but that doesnt sound like the problem. Check machine to be sure it is reading from the same internal port as your pc is sending from, most cnc's have 4 min. internal comm ports.
Besure baud rate and stop bits are correct.
Hi Guys.
Is there any way for me to analyze a specific
chain and have MasterCam tell me all tools that
are used with that chain? I've got a finished
operation with 22 tools.
Now the customer calls and says the print doesn’t
match the model, make parts to print. So I need to manipulate
Thread milling is a piece of cake.
If you go that route and need some help just ask
Note; When thread milling vary hard or gummy
material I found that if I conventional mill down
leaving .006 per side stk then climb mill back up
@ finish dia.
This saves tool life and also gives a much better
finish.
Taper reaming?
Staggard tooth/coated tap?
or
Do you have the time to thread mill (you may
think not but how long does it take to tap, check depth, check finish and reject.)
One pass with a solid carbide thread mill wont take long.
Hi Guys
For the people who found this utility helpful
I put the complete file in the Unspecified folder
on the FTP site its called MEConsultant.zip.
For those of use who do surfacing there is a good
finish calculator. Enjoy
I had a Miyano with a 0M control that went stupid
also. I had to correct it in the diagnostics.
Unfortunately I don’t remember the number.
Time to call Fanuc.
That’s the reason I asked that question, for this
software but I couldn’t figure out how to make it work even with the help from you guys so I just put it in my Quick Launch area like Bullines
suggested. Just as easy. but close it when thru
because if you use it a dozen times, it will be open a dozen times
