  1. I run cobalt drills @ 20 sfm and .0025 chip carbide end mills 70 spm .003 chip per tooth stub tools peck-drill center drills to max allowable dia.s I cut Inco, Invar, Kovar. Titanium .... all the time and this seems to work best for use.
  2. Open unspecified_uploads in the FTP site above then download MEConsultant20.Zip unzip it and go to High Temp Alloys(Nichol base). That's what Inonel-718 is.
  3. I agree with HevyMetl about Checkmate. I find it to be the best so far. If I remember the cost is around $75.00 a gallon but you use only about 4oz. per tank of water.
  4. About the cable, cross pins 2 and 3 for communications but that doesnt sound like the problem. Check machine to be sure it is reading from the same internal port as your pc is sending from, most cnc's have 4 min. internal comm ports. Besure baud rate and stop bits are correct.

  7. Hi Guys. Is there any way for me to analyze a specific chain and have MasterCam tell me all tools that are used with that chain? I've got a finished operation with 22 tools. Now the customer calls and says the print doesn’t match the model, make parts to print. So I need to manipulate

  10. Our slants uses G74 for peck drilling and if you add differant variables turns it into a rough bore cycle. (Fanuc T11)
  11. Thread milling is a piece of cake. If you go that route and need some help just ask Note; When thread milling vary hard or gummy material I found that if I conventional mill down leaving .006 per side stk then climb mill back up @ finish dia. This saves tool life and also gives a much better finish.
  12. Taper reaming? Staggard tooth/coated tap? or Do you have the time to thread mill (you may think not but how long does it take to tap, check depth, check finish and reject.) One pass with a solid carbide thread mill wont take long.

  14. I had a Miyano with a 0M control that went stupid also. I had to correct it in the diagnostics. Unfortunately I don’t remember the number. Time to call Fanuc.

That’s the reason I asked that question, for this software but I couldn’t figure out how to make it work even with the help from you guys so I just put it in my Quick Launch area like Bullines suggested. Just as easy. but close it when thru because if you use it a dozen times, it will be open a dozen times
