  1. I don't suggest you that have it change back to the first to at the end of the program. For the reason that if any other tool is in the spindle when you start the program it will give you an alarm, but if the tool change is at the begining it dosent matter what tool is in the spindle it will always get the first tool regardless of whats in the spindle. Just a suggestion!!! Mabe your control dosent do that.
  2. I've used Okuma, and I thought they were great!! Never had any mechanical problems with them, plus they use absolute pulse encoders, so no need to zero return when you turn it on.
  3. you hit the nail right on the head deckard, mabe if we're lucky they'll include parametric programming in the future. I hope
  4. It's the material,316 s.s is really gummy, when the tap stops to reverse, thats when it's gonna give you a problem, I suggest that if the quantity of the run is not to many just start the hole with 1-2 threads then tap them buy hand the rest of the way, use chroma-tap tapping fluid, I have to tap 1/8-27 npt into 316 alot and it's a nightmare. Good luck!!
  5. Use Adobe illustrator CS2 they have a tool called live trace, it converts images to vectors & works way better then the translator for Mastercam (no offence CNC Software) save it as a .eps or .ia file and import it
  6. Thanxs for the help everyone Heavychevy2155, just cuz you've never used cutter comp dosent mean it's a noob question, just means the stuff you work on dosent have very tight tolrances. you know amature stuff!
  7. How do you turn on the cutter comp on over top of the part?
  8. When I draw a line and have the tangent option on, I won't draw a tangent line, it dosent even ask what line i want it to be tangent to. How can I fix this problem
  9. Just use an incremental movment for the index, and right a sub program to repeat it. (small program short and sweet)No need to use MC.
  10. 60/hr CND for lathe 80/hr CND for mill I keep the tooling cost seperate, and add it after the hours
  11. Does MCX support C#?
  12. Is their a way to extend the witness lines of a dimension right to the geometry that is selected? When i'm dimensioning a part the witness lines are to far away from my geometry, and it is hard to tell what geometry the dimension is for.
  13. We all know that North America has the best quality Manufacturing in the world. After a bit of a hard time for the industry the people will start to notice that the things they buy today don't last as long as they use to, and I think they'll wake up to the fact that it's because it doesnt have that stamp on it that says "Made in America" or "Made in Canada" in my case. People should always try to buy products made in their own country, even if it means paying a bit more for it ("I know I do").You will get better quality. The U.S.A needs to find a way to get rid of the 700 billon $ trade deficit it has, And the governmet needs to invest in it's people, their will be growing pains, but it will make the country even stronger.
  14. That's the one Thanxs John13
