  6. Only with Mastercam and Solidworks at the same time. Solidworks runs fine by itself and so does Mastercam.
  7. The last time it happened , I was just extruding a chain in Mcam. When the task manager did open Mcam was at 99% and everythang else was at 0%
  8. Hi everyone, When I have both Mastercam And Solidworks open on my computer it runs just fine for a short period of time and then just locks up and does nothing. It even takes forever for the task manager to end tasks. Any thoughts why this keeps happening? Here's what I'm using.... Mastercam 9.1 MRO304 Solidworks 2004 The computer is a "Dell" (dude , I got a Dell ) , XP Pro SP2 , Pentium 4 , with 1.0 GB ram Thanks in advance for any help. Chris p.s. Can someone send me a post for a Haas mill??? Just kidding , but go ahead light em' up.
  9. Try surface rough contour. I use it alot for roughing. It seem to be more efficient than rough parallel. Chris
  10. As a side note , don't overlook the importance of using quality endmills. The best program will turn south in a hurry if you use an old, dull cutter. Chris
  11. Definitly depends on the job. I use parallel and scallop alot.
  12. Never happened here either. Did you re-install Mcam? Chris
  13. I like the Haas control myself. Easy to learn and use. I don't have any experience with their router but I've had very little quality or maintenance issues with their mills. For the price you can't beat'em Chris
  14. Hi Roger, This is Chris from Enpath Medical up in Plymouth. Sorry I cant help with your question , just wanted to say Hi.
  15. I use finish parallel alot with great results. What are your cutting parameters? Material? Is the cutter diameter to big to blend the two surfaces? Chris
  16. I may be wrong but if it's a Solidworks 2005 file there isn't a converter yet. Try to convert it as an " x_t " parasolid file. Chris
  17. Greetings, Is there a way to associate a text file to a Mastercam file? For example , When atempting to open something in mastercam , you would be prompted or could visibly see that there is a text file regarding the Mcam file.
