When I do leftover toolpaths I use a stepover for the smaller tools that produces the same cusp height as the .03 for the 1" tool.
I don't think our machines are very good. No matter how fine a stepover we always have to polish.
.03" stepover X 300 IPM = 9 - 12 hour finish program. At .01" stepover = 3 times as long. We can't tie up the machines that long for 1/2 of a mold.
Man the people in the shop would have a fit if I did that fine a stepover. We finish most tools with 1" ball at .03 stepover. If we use a smaller tool we shoot for the same cusp height.
Your construction plane was from the top, which = your WCS, and you where trying to dimension from the front view, 90 deg. off the top. Cplane should = view you are dimensioning in.
Google file recovery software. Or whatever search you use. Gives a large list of softwares. Not expensive at all if you consider the time put into creating the files lost.
There are softwares for retrieving deleted files. the key is to do as little on the computer as possible until you can retriev the files. If you keep working and saveing stuff, you could lose some of the files for good.
Lou do you know what is ment by the front end buffer? I have the Unified back/depth buffer off, is this the same thing? My IT guy is not sure whare to find this. I had the new drivers installed today. Trying them out now.
I have been comeing to this forum for 2 years now, never had a problem.
I never broke the forum rules either. Nobody ever asked me to pay for ansers or help, and I never asked for the product of someone elses labor. We had to pay for our 5-axis post, but all of the others I modified from the generics that came with the software.
If you are haveing a problem with this fourm, I sugest you take a look in the mirror. That's the cause of your difficulties.
Like they said, walk away, come back tomorrow and follow proper protocal.
Huge file. We make molds for vehical headliners. This one is for a Nissan SUV, not sure which model.
I am from the Philadelphia area originaly. South of the Airport. Chester PA.
Yes I use true solid. I also use the FFW, 45 minutes, it's hard to sit and stare for that long. I tried fit to screen, dose nothing. Is there a seperate fit on the verify menu?
At the end of the verify run part dissapers. I can watch it run, but when it finishes it's gone. The part is so big that it takes 45 minutes to finish and I can't stand to sit and watch it the whole time so when I come back I have nothing to look at.
anyone have any ideas?
