  1. sorry if the title is a big cryptic. I am trying to help a friend out who just started a new CNC programming job. He needs to learn the PST/MP scripting language and asked me to help him search for something that can help him view the output G-Code that would result from a .pst file. I have seen similar tools and plugins for e.g. VS Code that does this for other software's post-procecssor scripting languages, but so far I could not find something specifically for MasterCam's MP language. So as an example, the other tools I've seen, you can click on a G-code block in a .nc file and it will point you to the exact place in the .pst where that routine is defined. Is there something similar for Mastercam scripts? I do apologise but while I'm a seasoned software developer, the totality of my experience with CAD/CAM and CNC sofware is about two months worth of Ladder Logic for Mitsubishi PLCs so i don't have the vocabulary. Update: an example of what I'm looking for is the Autodesk Fusion Post Processor Utility plugin for SV Code. https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=Autodesk.hsm-post-processor
  2. Hi everyone, I get a class H 5 ah error when I try to load a program. I'm new to this shop and using the company Mastercam to create and post to the machine. Any help would be great and thank you.
  3. Good morning everyone, I wanted to get some different opinions on the best way to manage NC files in a medium sized production shop. The way we do it now is by grouping ALL of the relevant files for a part together (Mastercam file, NC files, Vericut files, Source files, etc.). While we've been able to keep things fairly organized, I feel that it has its limitations, especially when the operators need to grab the most up-to-date code for a particular job. Short of going with a full blown file management system (we've looked at Wintool to manage our tooling as well as their NC File Manager), what has worked, in your experience, to handle this just in the basic Windows Explorer environment? I've been thinking of having ALL of the NC files in one main folder that is then sub-divided by machine to make it easier for the operators, while retaining our traditional organization on the back end for us programmers. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  4. I do not speak English well I added a G code to the chain, like the photo. When NC data is output, G code can not be changed in column It is output in one line. Please help me solve this problem.
  5. Does anyone know if it's possible to output a post block to nc stating the toolpath ID. If you are asking why, it is quite simple. When an operator finds an error in the NC program, I would like him to be able to tell me the previous toolpath block as this would make finding the error in mastercam so much quicker.
