  1. Using Mastercam Launcher sorted it out. Learned something new there, thanks Chally72.
  2. Thanks. This is the way it worked for me a few versions ago. It doesn't work now though.
  3. I know in a previous version (X5 maybe?)I had the ability to force Mastercam2019 to startup in Mill 2D, instead of 3D for certain computers. We have a nethasp and limited seats of 3D available. One computer is primarily used by a guy who only needs 2D so I am trying to figure out how to get his to startup in 2D so we have 3D available for the users on other computers who need it. Thanks
  4. I have just created all of my holders in my tool library. I am having difficulty trying to get Verify to use these holders instead of a generic toolholder. Any ideas? thanks
  5. This happens to me as well. I also have to save the file I want to merge as an .x_t file first, then merge it into a .MCX-5 file
  6. Is there a way to select more than one solid at a time? ie the whole mold at once. The molds I bring in via x_t files have many solids.
  7. Thanks for the replies. I will change the leads to what Colin suggests.
  8. Can anyone help me out? X4 (and X2 for me as well) does not stay within the tool containment geometry I have selected, causing gouges. In X2, after the first couple, I went back to using Surface Finish Contour since the tool always stays within the selected boundary. I just tried it in X4 (wanted to use the "Rest Material" option within the path) and sure enough, the tool goes outside of the containment boundary that caused another effin gouge. Is there something I'm missing? thanks... XP 32bit X4MU2
  9. G90M5 G53Z0 E0X0Y0Z0H0 M30 % there's the end of our programs. G0Z1. G90M5 G53Z0 M1 (0.093" BULL ENDMILL) T2M6 G0G90S3000M3E1X-.0998Y1.2672 H2Z1. and that's for a toolchange hope this helps...
  10. Change the stepover slightly and regenerate. That usually works for me Sometimes it takes a couple of tries to stop the invalid arc
  11. You can also open task manager, goto processes tab, right click mastercam.exe, set affinity, and uncheck cpu1, leaving cpu0 checked. With most programs you have to do this every time you start them, but with my mastercam, after the first time it has always defaulted to only using CPU0. I tend to select CPU1 for most other processes so mastercam has a fairly dedicated processor and all other programs use CPU1. hope this helps
  12. Yeah I get that too. Seems to happen when I select something other than what X can allow me to select... Man I can't explain things very well
  13. I use many levels but I use the hide function quite a bit too. I will change certain geometry to different colours that I know I'll need later so I can show only geo of a certain colour when I need to. The hide function simplifies things for me when chaining for pockets , contours, and boundaries. As well as when I create/modify surfaces off of some specific geometry on a single level etc.
  14. Never mind, I've found the c-hook...
