2020 RAH Simulation

Can anyone say whether or not it's possible to backplot/verify/simulate a VMC with a right angle milling head?

We've got a working post. I've spent some time adding an aggregate into the MMD but graphically it's not there. Help section says that the geometry tab is typically only used with Mastercam Mill/Turn. I feel confident I can hodge-podge together something for a reasonable verification, but if there's a right way to do it I would really like to know how. Seems like if we have the RAH model it should be doable from some angle.

Any insight out there?

You can do this, but you have to build each tool and each head as separate Machinesim. The best way is to get a hold of the 3rd Party People like In-house the people who sponsor this website or Postability and they can hook one up to their post for you and your good to go.

Yep. I don't mind digging in and getting it done, but I just wanted to see if it was possible for me to accomplish first.

yea it is definitely possible, as you can see postability had figured it out some time ago from that video they posted on their youtube channel, but i don't know how easy or difficult it was for them to get setup or how to do it to be able to help you on your ventures. Good luck with it and i hope you are able to get it figured out.

You were looking for a "free" solution I take it?

It is not free just not having to pay someone for the work is all. This person will be paid to do it so someone is paying for it with their time which is money, but when you got to do what you go to do then you do what you got to do to get it done.

Exactly. If I can do it myself then my employer is paying me to do it.

I was more just curious to know if anyone on the forum had done it themselves, and if so then what steps they took or if there was any insight to be had.

We simply don't use the RAH enough to warrant involving a third party.

Trial and error like I mentioned and ROI is always one of those things we have to weigh with any decision.
