Hi Guys,

I have never seen more unhappiness about a MasterCam version.... ever.

One of my issues is that when I save a 2022 file  and open the next day or later in the day it doesn't open in the same state as I saved it.

Is there a way to go around this "we are smarter then you" upgrade?

2022 should have never been allowed to be released.

Its almost as if they want to sell-off.... OH, WAIT....

Is it possible you or someone else accidently overwrote the file using the autosave feature?

You might also look into using the backup feature.

I haven't had this issue.  I use viewsheets and bounce around a lot inside of them so I may not have noticed?  When you say "doesn't open in the same state", can you be more specific?

I tried it again before my rant.

I had 4 of 63 levels open.

I positions the part in front view.

I saved the file and got out of MasterCam.

opened it again and opened the file again.

Every level is open and it is in the top view.

does your event log register the save event?

I'm piloting 2022 on the daily and haven't experienced this either.

Are you using view sheets with a saved bookmark?   I use Viewsheets w/ bookmarks a lot, and on file open it will open to the viewsheet you had when you hit Save and restore that bookmark.  But I think that viewsheets have always worked that way if I remember correctly.

Mastercam opens respecting settings of the the active Viewsheet 

Save the Main View sheet the way you want the file to open

Just for the sake of entertainment, please try turning off your viewsheets and see if it solves your problems, you can do that here:

I believe I found the culprit.

I only have one sheet but in the settings area the Automatic restore bookmark settings was checked off.

Not really sure what that means but I checked  ver 2019, 2020 and 2021 and none were checked off.

If nothing else guys, Thank you for having me look into it more.
