Dumb question regarding Mastercam icons in the taskbar

This is going to be petty compared to other questions on here, but here goes anyway. Why does the MC2022 button not combine in the taskbar when the program is open like the MC2021 button does?

I've got the same thing with 2023. I've made it work in past versions but it was so long ago, I forgot. Don't have much time these days to monkey with this kinda stuff.

I think that's a windows setting. Although, is that Windows 7? When did they drop support for W7, that may have something to do with it.

And taskbar settings there's a setting to combine windows

Yes. Right-click -> Properties -> Taskbar buttons -> Always combine, hide labels.

I do have it checked. It works for the 2021 icon, but not the 2022 icon.

Same behavior with 2023 and I'm running Win10.

Yes, both are pinned to the taskbar.

Yes, it's Windows 7.

Try unpinning it and then open it a few times before you repin it.

And furthermore, after unpinning, now my 2021 icon won't combine. What gives?

At the moment, with 2023 pinned to the taskbar, my behavior is as follows:

Open a session of MC and I get the duplicate icon in the taskbar.

Open another session of MC and it gets grouped with the duplicate icon.

Open more sessions of MC and they all get grouped with the duplicate icon.
