I used one of these things for so long it took me forever to get used to a mouse with a wheel on it. 

 

And yes, the mouse button combination menus were about as efficient as you can get on a cad/cam system.  I could blast through the menus so fast that you couldn't even see what they were.

The coding for Procad 97 was done offshore and it was a complete mess.

Zero byte crashes were frequent, to the point it was difficult to get any work done.

I purchased Mastercam V7 in late 1997
