tapping

I am using fadal2 post. I am tryig to tap some holes. I have it all done but where do i put in the thread pitch. I get a error from the post because it doesnt know the thread pitch.

You must select a tool of the type - tape and in

it`s definitions there is a pitch that MC will use

Our post is setup to calulate the feed based on the pitch. The tool definition has the TPI, which MC (or the post, I'm not sure) calculates the pitch, which then calculates the feed and outputs it as a Q value (the pitch).

 

As you change the RPM in the tool parameter page, the feed will recalculate. Now, I hope you're thoroughly confused.

A little FYI the format 2 uses feedrate not pitch for tapping.

try bfad9.pst from ftp.

don't forget bfad9.txt.
