get tool from library

Just installed MC on new computer.

When I call tool from tool library , got big delay before it appear.

Is there anything else that seems slow on your computer, or just within Mastercam?

I get a delay when changing my Tool Libary from one to another that's because my Tool libary's are keep on the server and not on my C drive so as they are back up each day.

Are your Libarys on your C drive?

Mig, this was covered a long time ago. I had the same problem, and not just the tool library, but also the operation library. Convert your .tl9 file to a .txt file, then converted the text file back to a .tl9 file. If your .op9 library is slow also try doing the same. No problems ever since.HTH

I don't recall anyone having speed issues with their files stored locally. Wasn't that just a server issue?

Are you telling me if the access to the tool library is slow on your local drive, you can write it out as text, read it back in and it will access faster next time?
