Sprocket C-Hook?

LOOK ON THE FTP, it's not a c-hook, but... headscratch.gif

In the "text,posts&misc" directory.

Find the "sprockets.zip" file.

John Summers was kind enough to put this up. (THANKS!)

I have used it - works fine - a little work, but will give you a tooth profile that you can translate into a whole sprocket.

Later,

Mark

Thanks Mark

I'm not sure what to do with it? Reading the pst file I get lost on the 3rd line.. hehe

"INPUT: Dummy -.NCI file (MP needs the -.NCI name. Just make a file with the sprocket name with the word 'dummy' in it.)"

Where do I make this file? Sorry if this is a Dummy question.

Eric,

The "sprocket.pst" when ran will ask for, (need), a *.nci file.

Just open notepad on your computer - type in the word "dummy" - Go to file menu "Save As" - and with the " (quotes) type in "dummy.nci" in the file name box - you will also need to select where to put the file - I used the Mill - NCI directory - select save - your file is created.

Now when you run the post and it asks what *.NCI file too use - sellect this file.

Clear as mud! Right?!

Later,

Mark

MP (the postprocassor DLL) needs a -.NCI file name because it uses it to name the output files, so you can make a file with an editor, giving it the file name (name).NCI. If the -.PST file has everything under the PQ block, it won't even try to read the -.NCI file, but it uses the name of the -.NCI file.
