Best way to learn MC

Hi, I'm new here obviously.... and have taken an ineterest in learning MC (Work related) Anyways, Im wondering whats the best way to learn MC and become really efficient with it. Classes are really expensive here for it and was wondering about other technics that might be as effective... thanks

Try City College. They have a few pretty good courses there a few of the guys that work here and are doing pretty well. This is the place for help do a lot of reading and you will find the answers.

My early training was on the job watching the previous programmer. I then took classes and a lot of time working at home just trying to learn as much as I could.

 

As stated above, this site is the best tool.

 

It has been a great help to me. I've learned stuff here that I wasn't even looking to learn.

I know the classes seem like a lot of money, but when I completed the CAD certification course at the local community college, I got a pay raise that has made the initial cost and extra effort well woth it.

Here at Eastech, I use the tutorials offered by IN-house to teach with. If you are good at independent learning, I'm sure you'd find them helpful. Inhouse also supports this forum, you might ask about them here. I'm not sure how you could get them. Your reseller prolly offers them.

you have taken a big first step in learning MasterCam by joining this forum. With the right approach too. you could, of course, tried to take the Mr. Deepak-R approach for getting help (click it, its a link) but it is clear that you really want to learn, the right way.

Thanks for all the great advice, I did'nt know City college offered a MC class as Ive only seen AutoCAD classes offered there... but I will be taking that as well next semester.

Hardmill stole a few cars too. And Mayday, got into a sheep addiction. Just be careful dealing with those two. Just some advice.

That's a trick question isn't it? No one knows when this mystical day will come. It has been just around the corner for a long time. I bet it will be soon though.

 

Jump in and learn now. Maybe hold off on buying learning aids till "X" comes out. (ha.. ha.. ha.. ha.. ha)
