Lead in/out extend/shorten

I love the option to extend or shorten the start/end of contour, but sometimes it doesn't work?!?!?!

Has anybody else had a problem with this?

I'm doing a simple ramp on a 2d contour (just ramping a line) stuff I have done a million times before and had no problems with extending the cut path.

If I tell it NOT to ramp, the path is extended.

When I turn ON ramp, the path is the length of the geometry.

What am I missing? Seems like a bug cuz I know I have ramped a line and extended the geometry on both ends without any problem.

The only way I can fix this is and entry/exit lead in/out tangent value.

WTF???

Do you mean ramp, as opposed to 2D contour?

Yes,it's just a line,I want to ramp it instead of depth cuts or multiple passes.

Man I know I have ramped and extended the length before.

Or am I just going insane and it's not possible?

Hey Jeff ,

I got it to work by just using the Entry and Exit line set to Tangent ( whatever length you want ) ramp set at Zero , and the arcs set to Zero. Set your parameters in the "Ramp" as usual

I couldn't get it using the adjust start and end contour headscratch.gif

Hope dat works for ya !!
