Autohide the Ribbon Bar

Maybe everyone already knew this, but its new to me so I thought I'd share. A co-worker doscovered this by accident

If you double click the Ribbon Bar, it disappears

and you get more space in your graphics area.

When you start a command that needs the Ribbon Bar, it pops up. When you Green Check out of the command it autohides again.

If you want it back permanently, double click it when its active and it sticks to the toolbars again.

If you haven't tried it, give it a shot. Its like stepping up to a bigger monitor smile.gif

I'd love it if the op manager would auto hide when backplot or verify are started.

Maybe this will help.

I thought this was supposed to be incorporated into the install. Maybe I'm wrong.

EDIT:

The change described will be part if X in the future, but you can do this now.

I thought I read that somewhere.

I think if the operation manager becomes undockable again it will cause the CPU utilizaton issues like were experienced in Version 9. the auto hide option would be cool.. I have seen web pages that the menu hides to the left of the screen then once you scroll the mouse over to that area then it becomes visible..
