Verisurf HoleAxis for X

Recommended Posts

smile.gif Here is the free Holeaxis chook for X

This tool is great for creating hole center points, lines and circles that are needed for drilling and inspection operations. Just select a cylinder shaped surfaces or curves shaped as arcs. When selecting round shaped surfaces, points will be positioned at the pierce point, this is the centerline that intersects the top face surface of the hole.

Solids are not supported.

You can add the Verisurf HoleAxis icon here, it fits right in. biggrin.gif

Right off the bat Ernie, the first thing I think would be nice would be the ability to cancel it using esc, if you invoke it accidently, you have to start something else for it to cancel.

So I think the esc cancel would be a nice addition.

Other than that this is going to be a very useful tool.

Nice work BTW

Hi John,

I’m not sure what to change?

The Esc key works fine if you don't use the Select Multiple button. Did you try selecting holes without using that button?

The Select Multiple requires the Enter key when done selecting, you can do window or all entity selection. Esc cancels the selection and you will not get any Hole Axis. Another thing about using the Select Multiple is that it doesn’t do a pierce point, it uses the center point at middle of the surface length, this is because we don’t know what side to pierce. The single selecting mode uses the graphics view and the selection point to determine what side to pierce.

Did you see that the Mastercam Undo also works with Hole Axis?
