Fast Point

In MR1 I could hit the spacebar for fast point and instantly type in the coordinates.

 

In MR2 I hit spacebar and the fast point comes up but without a cursor. I have to click in the box for the cursor to appear and then I can enter coordinates.

 

anyone else have this problem?

I hit create line then space bar my fast point dialog has a flashing line in it and I just type in numbers and they appear in my fast point input erea?

create rectangle, 1", 1", enter, spacebar. no cursor.

Have you selected "default to fast point mode" in auto-cursor settings ? New for MR2...

 

If you have, there's no need to hit the space bar... Fast point activates automatically when you type certain values...

If you open the Xform Offset dialog box, is your cursor blinking in the Offset Distance field?

It does with mine, both FastPoint and Xform Offset dialog box.

Matt, if I do as instructed and hit a number without the spacebar it does bring up the fastpoint and the number I typed appears, after that I can't enter anymore data (just the initial number, cursor disappears) until I click in the box with my mouse.

I'm stuck with a PCI card!!

 

It works fine in MR1

I believe the MX chip is known to be not so good with MC. I couldn't really comment on it being a video card issue though. But I'm not implying that it isn't either.

That card sounds like a "bargain basement" variety graphics card. When was the last time you updated the video driver? Try sliding the hardware acceleration down a few notches and see if that helps. It may be time for an upgrade on the system however. What are some of the other specs for the system? HTH
