is there a way to save a screen shot of setup info and instead of printing and scanning into pdf just save it into a pdf format?

2 - Paste into word processor that can save pdf's

press and hold control key donw then press the PrtScrn key, this copies current screen to clipboard. Then paste into wordprocessor or other software that can save a pdf.

 

 

Seems more clumsy this way though.

i dont know if this is what you mean, but you can save bmp and jpeg and whatnot, i dont know about the pdf thing but you can just press printscreen button or ALT+Prntscrn and then paste it into paint or something like that and save it. im not sure about pdf format thought, im sure you can just paste it into whichever program you use to create your documentation.

 

or just use mastercam's - screen, copy screen image to clipboard function

i will try, i use screen/copyscreen image to clipboard out of mastercam that way you just get the view port.

what software will let you save to pdf?

ah i see, ok. well im not sure of the software used to create pdfs, but i know you can find some if you google the topic, but as i recall the ones i looked into would paste a "TRIAL COPY" or something message across all pages until you paid for the software. but you can definetly get it from there.

Why don't you just print to a PDF. I can select Adobe PDF as a printer and it makes a PDF. I've never tried it in Mastercam, but it works out of every other software on my computer.

I print to 'cutepdf' in MC and it has always worked pretty good.

Google for Bluebeam PDF, commercial software, fairly inexpensive, allows printing to pdf type of conversion, designed for CAD files.
