Bullet,

When I run this, I get an error of:

"Mastercam .NET support DLL nethook.dll not found"

Any ideas? all of my other c-hooks work fine.

You guys have Vericut5.4.5 or newer don't you? Hey guys you have to have a seat for this to work.

Vericut is pricey but worth it in a one off, surface and/or multi axis applications.

Wouldn't guys that have both pieces of software benifit from it being available on the FTP. I had to jump through hoops to get this. My past co-workers at In-House didn't even have this hook and instructions.

We have both pieces, but don't have a MC type license for Vericut. We DO have CATV for catia tho........

Surprised no-one has mentioned the Camaix MachSim for machine simulation. It doesn't simulate gcode, but the source code it makes for the simulation is written by the post processor when it's run. So much better than using pre-posted NCI.

If you have both Vericut and Mastercam, it is not an extra cost for this chook to work. If you have the most up to date Vericut 5 CD the hook is on there that you need. So if you legally licensed you should be good to go!

We are actually licensed for, and have 6.0 (have 6.1 but haven't installed yet).

We are legal, but it still doesn't work. I get the error I mentioned above.

I guess it is possible, but I still havent had a chance to set this up myself in MR2. Have you tried reg. the dll.......I'm reaching.

If you have Vericut 6, are you on maintenance with CGTech? If you are you may need to give them a call. I'm not sure if this is working with Version 6.

The mastercam interface is an option that you pay for. (at least we had to) We looked at Predator and Delmia(sp) but they didn't have probing capability though both said they're working on it. Delmia looks like it could be really good, the the price was about the same as vericut and they have probing now. The Vericut Forum sucks but their support is great. That in itself is a shame, I would really like to learn Vericut at a much faster pace than I am now and without a good forum that's not going to happen. This forum has got to reduce the MC support load by 70% and plus you get training.

 

Edit: Keith, I'm running 6.01 and it's working here.

To install the Mc to Vericut interface go to Vericut help and search for interfaces, click and go to CAD/CAM Interfaces, click on the (MCAMV) segment and then on the version X. When you install the environment variables this link will show you how.

Greg, So you know this was not a attack towards you there just some fun.

I understand what you are saying.

The Greg from SFA helps out alott of my customers even if they don't have predator with communications and and nevr asks for any thing in return.

 

He can be helpful but mostly just drops in and reminds Like me that Predator is out there to.
